I just finished A PLACE BOTH WONDERFUL AND STRANGE by @scottmeslow.bsky.social and I can't recommend it enough for Twin Peaks/David Lynch fans. I learned so much about the BTS practical and creative choices that led to the miracle of this series, in all iterations.

The first half of my year was essentially defined by these two things — one an actual dream for me, one an actual nightmare — and I’ll always be grateful to Josh for giving me the space to reflect candidly on both

36 years ago tonight, Twin Peaks premiered. I'm currently reading @scottmeslow.bsky.social 's new book about the history of the show. It's so enjoyable AND I'm hearing stories/details I've never heard before, which is quite a feat (at this point) for a show so beloved and documented. Recommended!

I finished @scottmeslow.bsky.social’s new book A PLACE BOTH WONDERFUL AND STRANGE: THE EXTRAORDINARY UNTOLD HISTORY OF TWIN PEAKS, which just came out this week. Good stuff. Lots of new behind-the-scenes tidbits throughout (including what was planned for ABC season 3)…. (1/2) #TwinPeaks

Mark Turetsky? Why, he disappeared 20 years ago... @markturetsky.com · 18/02/2026

A Goodreads reviewer says, "Mark Turetsky’s narration is perfectly eerie and grounded, like if Agent Cooper and an NPR host had a love child raised in the Black Lodge," which is frankly one of my favorite things I've ever heard about my work.

finally read @scottmeslow.bsky.social’s A PLACE BOTH WONDERFUL AND STRANGE and my guy really did the thing. Scott brings balance to a production history that’s become almost mythic, where the secret isn’t any kind of auteurism but a rare openness to possibility, making magic from the mundane

According to the new #TwinPeaks book, “A Place Both Wonderful and Strange” by @scottmeslow.bsky.social, this is what Duwayne Dunham tried when editing Part 18. I think he was wanting to stretch the Audrey story into the finale. Definitely for the best it was changed but fascinating nonetheless.

In Minneapolis, there are countless signs every day that the sanctity of our safe, loving places has been ruptured. The Trump administration has not just failed to protect children; it has seen, in their innocence and vulnerability, a fault line that ICE can exploit.
