Pork tenderloin seared & oven finished that has been brined and then rubbed w/onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, paprika and Italian seasoning. Sliced and served over mashed potatoes w/butter, garlic, cheddar cheese and chopped flat leaf parsley. 🍽️🍜

Using up the rest of the chicken thighs I made a sort of piccata style w/S&P, EVOO, flour, chicken broth, butter, lemon juice and capers. With steamed & buttered broccolini and lemon juice. 🍽️🍜🍋

A Sprouts market recently opened nearby. Went to get potatoes & heirloom tomatoes. On the way in I spotted frozen organic mussels at a good price. Augmented by sauteing shallots in butter, white wine & lemon juice. Cooked the mussels, added chopped parsley & served with sliced bread. 🍽️🍜

A few of us older folk the other day were talking and one showed a photo of him in the town he was married in 45 years ago and one from a week ago at the same place on vacation. We started sharing pics of us from 40+ years ago. Mine from late '80s in Grand Junction, TN. Still have that guitar.🎸🎶

An outdoor stage in Grand Junction, TN in the late 80s is a band named Alfalfa. I often ran sound for them but would sit in for a couple of songs now & then.

My best friend Tom Day is on the drums. At the left on guitar is Charlie and on the right side are Bill on bass and Chip on vocals, but who also was the leader and played guitar.

I'm the guy in the middle, playing a black body/maple neck Carvin DC-150 guitar I bought from a catalog in 1979.

Wish I was still that thin and still able to play like that.

I know. Another BLT+, using up an heirloom tomato. Not a club with a third slice of toast plus turkey. I add thin sliced onion, cheese (American) and dill pickle chips. So juicy it took 5 half paper towel sheets to keep it from making a total mess while eating.
