Hey @cityofsomerville.bsky.social whats up with these gates that appeared at the new Ken Kelly park? The one blocking the ramp seems to make the park completely inaccessible to wheel chair users, and they block a good portion of the sidewalk when open.

Listening in tonight on the meeting about the Teele Square Hotel Project aka the Teele Square Pit. Major updates from previous designs: 8 stories instead of 6, restaurant facing the street instead of hotel lobby, also a restaurant with a roof deck on top.

While the “redevelopment” of Scollay square was a travesty that displaced hundreds of households, I appreciate the incorporation of the historical name in government center station.
