Thanks to Peachy’s hour long batrep, I started up a solo 5L campaign this week, and it’s been a blast. I’m loving the mixture of travel, story, and battle, and the way you’ve written the tables has been a perfect jumping off point for writing stories that feel like my own. Excited to play more!

A comic page shows a tense nighttime conversation between Susan, a concerned mother, and her teen son David, who is secretly Nightsmoke) in their dim apartment. The lighting is low, with cool shadows and warm highlights.

Panel 1: Susan enters David’s room cautiously, leaning toward him. She looks worried in her white “V” sweatshirt. David sits at his desk, turned partly away. Susan says, “No, you didn’t… I was just worried, that’s all.” David replies, “Worried?”

Panel 2: Susan sits on the edge of David’s bed, anxious. Susan says, “He’s back. That horrible Nightsmoke character. They’re saying he attacked some company downtown. I didn’t know where you were. I can’t lose you, David.”

Panel 3: David wheels his chair beside his mother and tries to reassure her. Susan turns to him, hands gripping her arms. David says, “I’m fine. I’m home. Because why not, I decided to strip and repaint the first mini I ever painted: my D&D character Morathos. Looks like I’ve learned a few tricks since 2008, which, as we all know, was only like five years ago… [privateryan.gif]

Ohhh, now that I’m looking at them, yeah, the $20 ones have the teeny connector, but you have to go up to, like, a $50 one to get the normal connector. Definitely could be worth saving $30 to try to try to find an adapter.

My Dracula’s America posse I made a while ago! I really love the ruleset of this game, and wish it had more robust scenarios and campaign stuff, but overall, it’s a blast. Nothing says escapism like playing a bunch of evil bloodsuckers who work for the president who is a literal vampire.
