FYI my paintings are not meant to be erotic or titillate and if you leave comments about how they are hot or sexy I will block you, end of story. Keep it to yourself.

This piece is just a few years old but I kind of what to revisit it, I could do better, and I wish I still had that very 2004 anime girl hot topic shirt. 2021 Gouache on toned paper

My recent studio eviction and trying to find a new place has stirred up a lot of frustrations and has me wondering about the current studio-space-for-rent offerings in my city...🧵💭

Video taken this past summer while wrapping up the work for Cruel Babes. I moved the majority of my belongings out of my studio this morning and keep spontaneously crying. I'm sick of other people dictating what I can and can't have in my life. I'm just so worn out and tired.

on top of everything else going on, do I really have to be spending the rest of this month and beyond desperately searching for a new studio space? The answer is yes, yes I do.

This self portrait still warms my heart, I remember it was annoying holding my banjo though while drawing and having to draw with my non-dominant hand. I need to be plucking more often. Self portrait with banjo 2016?? Chalk and pastel on toned paper #selfportrait #drawing #art

Introduction; I'm Rachel Gregor (she/her) and I'm a contemporary painter living in the Midwest. My work is self-referential, I blend literal, observed self-portraiture with constructed narratives, folklore, and myth. I work primarily in oil paint and gouache. Glad you found me here.

"Cruel Mother" 58 x 42 in. Oil on linen 2024 From my latest solo with @hashimotocontemporary.com ,Cruel Babes #painting #art #oilpaint #figurative

An oil painting of a female figure leaning her back against an oak tree. She holds a dandelion in each hand and is about to remove the head from one of the flowers. There is a thistle plant in the foreground. The background is a black color field, the rest of the palette transitions from green, naturalistic tones to red as they recede.

My studio goals for this year is to be more observant and more reactive. I've been doing lots of little self portraits this month because I've been drained and depressed, like everyone else. Getting more energy as the days grow longer. #gouache #selfportrait #painting #drawing #art

Has anyone bothered with a painting starter pack? Contemporary art? Figurative painters? Do I bother to look? Do I bother to make one?

I've been goofing on my secret blue sky for months but now I guess it's time to take her seriously.
