Damn it, it's only FAIR that Trump wins again this year. In fact they should name it the Trump FIFA Peace Prize /s

Thanks for the link. It is indeed a fast paced ride we are being taken on. It is not surprising that parallel organizations are being build that are more agile. As long as we can deliver before we tire, we will succeed.

You're very well spoken. I'm sure you're great at pursuading like minded folk.

scott-sargent.bsky.social @scott-sargent.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

You sound exhausted. So, just like crossing the floor they can get voted out by their constituents in the next election - in a democratic way. This country is full of idiots...

scott-sargent.bsky.social @scott-sargent.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

So what if your MP does not vote with the party. Does that require a bi-election?

100

scott-sargent.bsky.social @scott-sargent.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

What should happen if your MP (or MPP) does not vote the party line? Immediate bi-election?

000

scott-sargent.bsky.social @scott-sargent.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

I think the vast majority of Canadians support Carney. Floor crossing is annoying but as we can see from recent bi-elections our democracy is working.

1101

scott-sargent.bsky.social @scott-sargent.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Can you explain "a growing problem of people supporting politicians instead of democracy" Without a direct democracy, what else do we have ?

scott-sargent.bsky.social @scott-sargent.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

The article states 12 cent per watt. I pay 6 cents per kilowatt (off peak rate). I think I'll wait a bit longer.

I believe we had a study in Ontario about 10 years ago. It was very successful and then killed when the conservative government came in. With appropriate claw backs, the program would actually save money, no more government pensions, employment insurance, welfare and dozens of other programs.

scott-sargent.bsky.social @scott-sargent.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

and still graduated. I guess a lot of rich kids go there.

scott-sargent.bsky.social @scott-sargent.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

I sure hope Carney doesn't cave. The universality of Canada's social programs are corner stone to being Canadian.

Well lets start by getting it into LCBO stores

Ha ha. Maybe by steaming up all those gals

020

scott-sargent.bsky.social @scott-sargent.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

But the proletarian wants to support the well liked guy. That's why you have trump. Too bad we can't have a means test to vote. However, who could we trust to administer the test?

I also think about the timeline difference if Al Gore was elected. A few dimpled chads may have cost the planet global warming.

Sad that a Multi-Millionaire like Steven King is agreeing to enrich Multi-Billionaire Jeff Bezos but that's the world we've built. I'll wait until the series is available at my local library. P.S. loved the story Mr. King.

When is this years FIFA peace prime being announced?

I was working in the NT40 lab when Paul T. ran in and said a plane had hit the WTC. We went out the the TVs in the lobby and saw the second plane hit. No one will ever forget where they were, what they were doing. I am not even an American.

We (the world) are shocked to see that even 40% of American's have a favourable view of him.

Sure seems like a good news story. Let's hope it can happen again, and again and again. This what Canada needs and what we can do.

010

scott-sargent.bsky.social @scott-sargent.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

I think he is brain dead and being kept alive so the republicans can count him as an auto-pen vote. He will be announced dead at a time most convenient to trump.

010

scott-sargent.bsky.social @scott-sargent.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

Yes "Canada" needs to. This is a city mayor.

101

scott-sargent.bsky.social @scott-sargent.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

I like Carney but maybe Wab could be our next PM?

000

scott-sargent.bsky.social @scott-sargent.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

Really. Is that the most important thing our mayor should be doing? We have got real problems with homelessness, transit, and sprawl. These are city problems. Lets focus on what our municipal politicians can do.

Been doing that for 18 months. Those who care (and can afford to) are already on board. Honestly it is those that travel down south that really irk me.

No one who receives personal checks for 100 million, hell even 10 million should be in a position of government power. You can not be in touch with normal people, or normal people issues.
