Quick 2005 LucasArts marketing department memory for your #StarWarsDay: The Ep3 game was scheduled for May 5. In a meeting, someone joked, “Move it up—May the FOURTH be with you!” We laughed, shrugged, kept May 5. After all, who would take a pun like that seriously marketing message? Heh.

As I understand it, this is based on page hits, so some recency bias is to be expected. But even with that in mind…who’s looking up stuff on Commander these days? (It sunset in 2020!)

Battlefront II for GBA was featured in this episode of The New Adventures of Old Christine on October 9, 2006, about 11 months after its release. Just one problem -- it never came out for GBA. You also never burned any villages (right?). So much wrong here in just 12 seconds!

These four words—delivered perfectly by Skarsgard—encapsulate everything that makes Luthen the most captivating Star Wars character of the Disney era. A chilling mix of ruthlessness and sincerity.

It's rare I come across a Star Wars game release I've never seen before. This Australian four-pack features Domark's Amiga version of Atari's classic. You can tell how dead SW was as a franchise by Luke's placement behind Bond, Fake Arnold, and Generic Conan Ripoff. www.ebay.com/itm/11642461...

Before I start the full #StarWarsGamesChronology that may take years to complete, let's take a look at some videogame-adjacent releases that predated the first game in 1982. Perhaps most notable was this Empire Strikes Back pinball machine—which A. Hankin & Co. released ONLY in Australia in 1980.

Here's something fun for this account: My original vision for what became "X-Wings, Lightsabers, and #ScorpionVader" was a very visual Kindle book -- built in PowerPoint -- that basically gave two pages like these to every Star Wars game ever. Never got past the first two games, but here.
