So, with all the fruits and veggies we are growing here, I invested in a freeze dryer for better food preservation. Have a dehydrator, but this offers more options. First batch I tested fresh raspberries which eventually I made into powder. 1/2 tsp. was a tasty add to iced tea!

Had a lot of cucumbers so been making a lot of neat snacks! Cucumber chips (salt and ranch), sweet relish, bread and butter pickles and dill pickles. Chips are quite addictive, have yet to try the others as they need a week or two to get good!

Went to the Pittsburgh zoo and aquarium this morning which was pretty neat. Very hot but plenty of shady bits and indoor areas that had nice ac. A lot of animals were in their cooler enclosures sadly due to the heat! #anthrocon

Urgh frustrating start to the con. We were checking to switch rooms and manager said we used offensive language when we called. The bellhop was here the whole time and agreed there was nothing said badly. Supposedly we are getting written up. 1/2
