Scion238 @scion238.bsky.social · 1hUgh. This was about the point that I checked out of Facebook permanently. 010
Scion238 @scion238.bsky.social · 22hThis wasn't so much an "anime bubble" popping as "anime accepted alongside cinematic WB and Disney". Also, Facebook hadn't quiiiiiite gone mainstream, yet, so "viral on social media" wasn't a thing (remember TDK's viral Joker videos? Yeah, me neither.) This got lost in the gap. 010
Scion238 @scion238.bsky.social · 14/10/2026I just saw the trailer. That is bonkers in all the best ways and I. Cannot. Wait. 010
Scion238 @scion238.bsky.social · 13/10/2026I feel like there was something like this in either a Diablo game, or one of the two Champions of Norrath games... but I can't remember the specifics and it's starting to bug me. 🤔 Anyway, since those came later, I'm sure this was the inspiration for it. 😆 010
Scion238 @scion238.bsky.social · 13/10/2026Having played the demo, I concur with GI here: this game is the most fun CV since the GBA/DS outings. 000

Scion238 @scion238.bsky.social · 12/10/2026That almost seems to be Five Below's stock in trade. My daughter's addicted to their rotating cache of blind boxes, and I was in there yesterday and *almost* got suckered by Cowboy Bebop charms. Never expected THAT. 110

Scion238 @scion238.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Y'know what Michael Jordan, Jay-Z, and Grant Morrison all have in common? They're all un-retired. SRSLY tho, Morrison on James Bond is truly some kind of fever dream matchup. 000
Scion238 @scion238.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Now you understand my difficulties with both LotR (which I am also a fan of) and Homestuck (which I am very much not). ...by which I mean, I can definitely relate. 020
Scion238 @scion238.bsky.social · 08/10/2026IIRC, it *didn't* need the RAM, but it was programmed to not play unless the Arcade Card was present. 100
Scion238 @scion238.bsky.social · 08/10/2026I was starting to really cheer DC's efforts to smooth out the gaffes of the past decade with stuff like Rosenberg's WildCATs and Taylor's Nightwing run, et al. And then the Absolute line came along... I sincerely and unironically loved the first volume of Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong. 010
Scion238 @scion238.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Never? It happened a LOT on forums that discussed it... see posts 2 and 3, here. Also the case on PCEngineFX, NeoGAF, etc. Always struck me as odd, for the same Nvidia reason I mentioned above. (PSA: Tron 2.0 *was* designed for Nvidia graphics cards. Scion238 @scion238.bsky.social · 08/10/2026...and to be fair, a full and complete list of the number of titles you've imported would probably crash BlueSky. 110
Scion238 @scion238.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Me, seeing "Falcon"* advertised in the left-hand column, in bold print: "Is this the first time Strider was advertised for the SGX?!?" Me, after clicking the image: "Oh, THAT 'Falcon'." *shudder* *"Falcon" was the working title for "Strider", prior to its release. 030
Scion238 @scion238.bsky.social · 08/10/2026On that note, PSA: There's the *entirety* of the OPCFG on the Internet Archive to sneak a mouse past the Schroedinger's Cat you're trying to pass your answer off as. 🤣 110
Scion238 @scion238.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Maybe that particular variant is my own vintage, but I have definitely encountered "Strider Hiryu *for* the Arcade Card" in the wild. Which doesn't change how weird it is. 😆 110
Scion238 @scion238.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Surprising no one, I have imported both Strider Hiryu on the Arcade Card (which I still think is weird to say, because no one says, "Tron 2.0 on Nvidia GeForce"), and the 2014 Strider remake on PS3 (because that was the only retail version!). 120

Scion238 @scion238.bsky.social · 08/10/2026It's a tossup between all of Fumito Ueda's Team ICO games and Matt Nava's The Pathless and Sword of the Sea. Tricking Solas at the end of DA:TV was cathartic, as well. Honestly it probably comes down to the end of Ico vs. the true end of The Pathless, though. 🍻 010
Scion238 @scion238.bsky.social · 07/10/2026The more I hear about this, the bigger the foreboding nausea in the pit of my stomach grows. 010

Scion238 @scion238.bsky.social · 06/10/2026This is exactly what motivated me to find and interview Isuke, myself. Glad the RG interview that also came of it is getting republished and preserved in this book. More like this is needed.
