I think people forget that you’re allowed to have an emotional response to something that bothers you even if it’s warranted, but you’re not allowed to abuse systems of power to suppress the voices of others simply because you don’t like the things they say. That’s called fascism.

I think the most frustrating part about the situation we’re all dealing with is if the DNC had actually stood on progressive values they claim to have they would’ve endorsed Bernie Sanders in 2016 and maybe we could’ve avoided all this to begin with. Yet, here we are dealing with Trump once again.

As someone who’s been in therapy since they were six, I find for a lot of men being a proper ally to women requires being emotionally reliable to yourself and unpacking insecurities rather than making it women’s problem. You’re no help to women if you can’t even help yourself in your personal life.
