She beat him when she was 29 and he was 55. She also founded the Women’s Tennis Association and Women’s Sports Foundation. If you think she didn’t support sex segregation in sports idk what to tell you. She wanted equal pay and respect not to be playing in the same leagues.

Women haven’t really beaten men in sports except in some non-contact sports where women have either equal or better skills than men like target shooting. Women need their own separate category to compete. Else, we need to radically rethink categorization to match physicality.

I mean in certain sports it’s not just misogyny, it’s outright physicality. This might not be true of female vs male archery for instance, but it is true of say the NBA vs WNBA or women’s vs men’s soccer. I think it misses the point to say it’s all misogyny.
