Welp saw the dentist today. There was so much rotten bone in the tooth he pulled that I will need a massive bone graft to fix my sinus and upper jaw. It could cost as much as $5,000. I just kind of wanna give up. It feels like the dream of being able to eat normally again is more distant than ever.

Been calling around, trying to find a affordable dentist. I found a place that’ll do the crown for $1650 and filling for around $350 each. I exhausted everything from the go fund me getting my gum disease treated, and a previous crown.

5 days since surgery. I can finally eat soft eggs and soggy pancakes. Still in a lot of pain as i fight off the last of the infection and heal, but wow was this a boost!

Day 5 of recovery. I can chew dinty moore on one side of my mouth! Never in a million years would i have considered this a special meal, but in this moment its the best thing ive ever eatten. Its REAL food. The fact you can smash the beef with your fingers is actually a plus.

In incredible pain tonight. Lots of sinus pain, especially around the extracted tooth. Hopefully the antibiotics will stop the infection so the bone graft can take. Just gotta think about the big picture. Someday I’ll be able to eat nachos instead of baby food.
