This isn’t even a joke thing for me. Mobile platforms are a closed down technofascist response to computers. The desktop isn’t free of those influences, but they are attenuated and interacting with it makes you experience the full promise of computing. The potential and the freedom.

Again, the major issue is that this is added stress on already strained resources. We should be working towards efficiency in all of these spaces but Ai has just become a blackhole of inefficiency for the benefit of billionaires
