Human thinking is narrow. Most people need to fit things into rigid binaries. Good and evil. Right and wrong. Male and female. Rich and poor. Black and white. It helps us, to find our in-group and reject the other. To feel /comfortable/ But it's silly. It leaves us vulnerable to manipulation.

I just watched Elemental... It's actually a really touching, well done story. I'd be tempted to write all about the way it portrays the immigrant experience. I was caught up with how much of a Jewish story it felt like before I realized how universal a lot of the experiences were to immigrants.
