I was the defender in my 4th game of Trench Crusade, the scenario was Trench Warfare, where I could only field a smaller subset of my warband and needed to defend my trench line. I was doing pretty well until I wasn't.

It's been a while since I played Kill Team. My friend and I continue our narrative campaign, with my Sanctifiers continuing their hunt for The Red Terror. This mission was about trying to find its lair while not getting eaten.

Lots of losses in my 3rd game of the Trench Crusade campaign. We played High Ground. My leader, who the warband is named after, was killed by a Stigmatic Nun. I also lost my War Wolf, and two troopers. Not great! A good exploration role will hopefully help me recover some of these losses.

The Trench Crusade campaign begins for me with a Supply Raid against the Finger Eaters, a Trench Pilgrim warband. I ended up losing, but felt like I fared better in the post game thanks to some lucky roles. Found a wretch, so now I need to find a model.

Catching up on Secret Passage. I never finished this issue back when it came out. The 3rd issue was just released. Secret Passage is great. Like a smaller Wyrd Science. Also feels very British.

Wages of Sin ends with the details the ODC, a prison. This is essentially a bonus module to conclude the book. A few bounties described require the players extract them from the prison. Players could also end up here and need to escape, Prison Break style.

The next section of the book, Punishment, begins with short procedures and tables for dealing with player crimes. This is followed by 10 named bounty hunters to pursue your players, like Boba Fett, IG-88, or Anton Chigurh. Each gets a two page spread. The first looks to be from He-Man. Hells Yes.

The Lobster. I would have called him Crab-Man.

The final 12 bounties all take place on ships. There are some really good ones here. The penultimate bounty is to kill an under performing CEO, the company doesn’t want to pay her severance. The last is about counterfeiters and hyper inflation destroying societal collapse in the rim worlds.

The book opens with instructions on how best to make use of it in a one shot or campaign, how the bounties presented are structured, etc: all the information a Warden will need to get started. There is also a random bounty generator, but why: there are so many bounties!

Back home, can start reading the beast of a book that is Wages of Sin. I don’t recall the scope of the original pitch, but this feels very extra. The end pages are pictures of all the dirt bags you can hunt or help.
