The Oxford Dictionary defines terrorism: "The unofficial or unauthorized use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims..." (cut off due to word limits) When is it time to stop calling balaklava'd men amassing to bully people from the back of lorries 'a protest gone a bit far'?

One way to view the latest Reform corruption - who do they try to sue? Farage in particular has been very keen to say he'll sue people in the past for defamation etc So if he doesnt even try it, despite the bluster illegal 'entrapment' - that reeks even more to me. #politics #reform

Farage told Congress last year that he never bans journalists from his events. He spoke at the behest of an anti-abortion group, the ADF. It's ironic, and pretty revolting, that Reform banned me from its conference after I reported that three anti-abortion groups are speaking at this year's event

Farage lies to Congress
His jaunt to Washington didn’t go exactly as planned...

The agenda of PMQS seems very funny to me sometimes. In some cases you can genuinely see levers turn Agreement to meet with Cornish MPs in order to not only talk about tax loopholes, but also to discuss devolution in order to help prevent them in the future 1/2

It's fun watching PMQs again, especially when there's some charisma on display. It's a bit wild for Badenoch to accuse Burnham of point scoring though...

Maybe this, combined with the fact that he can't take criticism (see Tim Montgomerie) is why his own party didn't let him stand as a candidate...

Tim Montgomerie got suspended for daring to criticise genuine flaws If Labour or the Conservatives were this trigger happy, both parties would be just 3 men in a duel by the end of next weekend. How do people expect Reform to govern acting so childishly? www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...

Former Farage ally suspended from Reform after hitting out at Zia Yusuf
Tim Montgomerie suggested in a podcast that ‘Nigel has fallen out of love with Zia’

Despite Tim Montgomerie being suspended, this interview shows the issues with Reform Even a prominent reform member discusses their problem with women, unseriousness, and "failing the decency test". This is the reform they don't want shown spectator.com/podcast/tim-...

EXCLUSIVE | 'Zia needs to be a team player' – Tim Montgomerie
Reform UK’s Zia Yusuf spent last week putting a few noses out of joint, not least by calling the former Conservative defence secretary, Sir Ben Wallace, a traitor, a tweet Nigel Farage took the unusua...

As Binface says, against Farage he got 10,000% more votes than against Burnham. Obviously statistics don't lie, so next election he'll get 950,000 votes for his party, putting him with more seats than reform currently has. That's my future PM right there

I'm sure we'll be told this was a convincing victory... 22k votes If I have to be convinced when you lost nearly 10k votes to an "establishment" waste paper basket - then you're not the serious candidate you think you are #clacton #reform #countbinface

"animals are under threat of dying due to climate related issues - so they've turned to digging on massive well watered stretches of land" I think I can live with that

Count Binface didn't call the by-election in order to avoid scrutiny. No doubt they're the butt of a bad joke, this headline just misplaces who's telling it

This isn't "surprising answers". The per capita data has been available during the whole conversation. But cool heads don't sell papers. People such as Musk are able to shout about us getting invaded and "becoming more dangerous" without any scrutiny. The facts aren't surprising

The man is out of touch and unfit for office. However, I strongly believe all of this is yet another outrage stunt. The more they get you talking about this the less their opposition can get a word in edgeways to talk some sense into the situation. Don't fall for it - use your vote instead

Democrats need to change tactics on Trump. He only benefits when they complain about his corruption, so he can start shouting "TDS" Democrats ought to focus on providing an alternative of hope, which the public can support. That's why Mamdani won - vision

Walked into Waterstones yesterday and asked for a copy of House of Leaves, since I'd heard it was a good challenge. The bookseller asked how confident I was about my reading so I said I enjoyed Clockwork Orange, and she laughed... Flipping through it, she may have been right to do so #literature

I understand the theory behind this, sure - but in practice there's no way whatsoever to predict the future in this way When I was completing even my GCSEs, there was no mention of AI and LLMs, yet that's massively affecting the job market now - so who knows how much will change by then?

The EU has standards for joining, as it should do. But do we not think that they really have something more important going on? The EU isn't "preoccupied" or "turning a blind eye", it's prioritising stopping a brutal takeover

Badenoch devaluing her own councillors like this shows her opinions of local government - it's a good thing she has so few to be offended

I keep seeing article after article of people saying that the prison release "may not fix the whole prison system" Why is it that as an electorate we are so addicted to pessimism? Why let perfect be the enemy of good? @lewisgoodall.com @thenewsagents.co.uk @therestpolitics.bsky.social
