You can equate what you said with "every immigrant is a criminal" or "every woman who loses a pregnancy is a murderer." It's simply not true. Accusations all over the place, expectations of what "should be." There just IS. You can free yourself from your own chains of expectation.

Many books say many things I disagree with. I bet you could find the same for yourself. Just because something is written down, doesn't make it a rule for all. As we can see here with ICE running "rampant"

Why would you be embarrassed from a random internet stranger?

And very happy. Can't take a photo without that tail blurry 😆

Just want a better world. The way we have and continue to do it doesn't seem to be working. Instead of being drawn into the tribalism, I prefer to see the larger picture of manipulation of the publics' emotions.

Change is coming. Good will prevail, we need to have faith and continue to model good for others. Model how you want your world to look like, you are not powerless.

They were doing their job and protecting people. Further incitement of this incident could have had much larger consequences and harm. They can't be everywhere, but when they see something they can de-escalate, they have a duty.

Correlation is not causation. I am proud of you, though. Enjoy this time and be proud of yourself. Don't dampen your accomplishments.

Dumping debt to start anew. Classic tactic by business owners.

"Swooped in and rescued the agent" is placing intent on what the officers did. Yes, there are people who do bad things, history is full of it. But, there are good people too, and history doesn't write about that as much, because we are addicted to drama. Media manipulates, even when we don't see it

Yes. It is being used by the current administration to control women's autonomy and immigration. 🤔 When will we try something else?

The labels perpetuate the cycle.

You can punish without it being public, this is the distinction I am making. All of history is filled with using fear to control people's actions. We still have all these issues regardless.

Absolutely! These videos are not creating empathy, they are creating anger, fear, playing off trauma responses. Clicks pay and for some people that is more important than doing the right thing. Understand when you are being manipulated by media.

Using fear to punish people who terrorize will only create more trauma. Fear is why we are in this moment in time. Everyone is afraid of some "other," acting out of defense instead of treating it as propaganda - something to evoke emotions.

As someone who has struggled for 3 decades and then suffered a full on burnout, both Mate and Katie's work have finally brought me relief. The way our brains wiring changes from trauma in childhood, form our lives if not allowed to process the trauma fully. Allowing that trauma to finally flow

Again, not intending to spam, I just wanted to share my story. I know and see so many around me stuck in a similar way, I only want those people to be freed and allowed to thrive.

Person I always was, just stifled for a time. Our brains are insanely powerful, in ways we still don't fully understand. They can convince us of things that aren't reality. I was never truly in harms way, but my brain made my body think it was, and kept me in a self made prison.

A final rejection (simply my s/o not hearing me about boundaries) caused that burnout crash about 2 years ago. It festered until I ended up in the ER. From there it has been a road to rebuilding and finding true self - not that molded by my environment, but the beautifully perceptive and generous

When I saw this as my actual trauma, everything started to click. My environment was chaotic, so I masked and stuffed that all down. I became very fearful of rejection (RSD), and started anticipating it everywhere. It was debilitating, I stopped doing things I enjoyed, out of fear of rejection.

And my body to react the way it needed to, is releasing the stored energy that has held me. I was told all my life that childhood sexual abuse was what I needed to process. In reality, I didn't hold on to that. Instead, it was my mother's hyperactivity that made me equally hyper aware.

I believe it is definitely relevant. Reading critiques from people whose whole careers are threatened by his "theories" may have a different angle than presented. His qualifications are his own work through his own ADHD suffering. As well as seeing on the front lines of the most vulnerable.

And here you are giving energy to this. Stop spreading the stuff that emotionally manipulates and start spreading the good things that occur around us every day.

Not anywhere close to what I was speaking of. I understand though, trauma drives us in ways we don't even see. For you, it is the fight drive. I wish you healing on your journey 💜

“He who knows others is wise; he who knows himself is enlightened.” The individual MAY never know, but they MAY well trace it back and be free. Trauma isn't what happened to us, it's what is left behind. Stifling a child's emotions or redirecting it may store the trauma. Allowing it to flow heals

It is important to understand that no one is to blame. What occurs is simply people using the tools of their time to raise their children. We understand gradually and make changes over time. I know I can raise a child with better tools but in no means will I be perfect. We know not what we do.

I interpreted his work differently and paired it with Byron Katie. I found it to be greatly enlightening. If you didn't get value, that's ok, but allow others to explore on their own. Our understanding is evolving, I know we are headed towards much less suffering.

We are understanding more and more how trauma affects the body, to the point where we are on the precipice of a new age of healthcare. Trauma isn't what happened to us, but what remains in us after the fact. Everyone processes differently and when we let the emotions flow, we don't hold it inside us

We are absolutely working towards such a beautiful future. The pains we have known will be what we teach others about and reduce what others have to experience.

You definitely misread that then. I said "Not guaranteed" nothing resembling "you're wrong" this is what I mean by applying your own story to things. You saw what wasn't there.

Trauma is misunderstood. Trauma isn't what we experienced, but what is left behind in us. Of course, an event is rarely forgotten, but the trauma can be healed over time and not shape what we are. Not sure if you have read Gabor Mate or Byron Katie, but I highly recommend ❤️

I didn't think we were debating and had a set of rules. If you saw all of that is what I said, no worries. My intention was not what you implied.

My intention was not to derail. I am simply saying we are in a time where we understand it so much better and have the tools developed to deal with it. I am not saying no harm, I am saying this does not need to become the child's identity.

Absolutely, anything can create trauma, and fester to the point of burnout if not allowed to process.

Not all children become their parents. So many see and understand where their parents went wrong. Blanket assigning guilt or trauma is not for us to choose.
000
Sassy Quatch @sasquatch002.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
It means what you choose. As with what you choose to focus on. So many interactions with our public servants are nothing burgers, why highlight only the few bad? The media has really changed the American psyche, for $$$. Why don't they report more good?

Sassy Quatch @sasquatch002.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
You are taking snippets of time and focusing on the bad. Disregarding all the good that has happened is how media manipulation is occurring in this time of history. You can choose what your focus is.

Sassy Quatch @sasquatch002.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
That was a small part of my message. I encourage you to focus on the other parts. We are all helping to build a good future, some have just been told this is the way to obtain it. Manipulation of trauma responses is a very real aspect of our current media environment.

Sassy Quatch @sasquatch002.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
The work is showing people all is not lost. We will continue to build a better future for all, starting with how we perceive things. We have that choice.

Just because this may be your experience, doesn't mean it will be others. Horrible events occur all the time and people can process the emotions and set it aside.
