The graphics would be a subject in their own right. The way ships, water, and so on are depicted. The style and visual language depended on the period. Whether the drawing is flat or uses perspective, and other such questions.

Dr. Krieger is doing tremendous work at the Middle Moselle Museum. Without regional history—and the stories that make it up—there can be no global history. A nation's historical memory is built from countless local historical memories, which are preserved in places like the Middle Moselle Museum.
