As we head into another wildfire season: "We find that the observed increase in extreme fire weather bears a clear externally forced signal, detectable at 99% confidence above natural variability and attributable to human-induced climate change." www.science.org/doi/epdf/10....

Billions to drop bombs overseas. Not a dime to lower costs for the American people. It’s time to end this reckless war of choice.

Russia loves chaos- since their oil doesn't rely on the Strait of Hormuz, they’ve become the global "alternative" supplier, banking €6B in just two weeks. This surge in cash, combined with recent U.S. sanctions waivers, is directly funding their war in Ukraine. www.theguardian.com/world/2026/m...

US president says sanctions will be removed until crisis sparked by US-Israel war on Iran eases, without giving further details. What we know on day 1,475

War in oil regions serves narrow interests while we bear the cost. Global military spending hit $2.44T in 2023 (U.S. at 37%), yet our own energy grid sits at a D+ grade. We spend trillions securing fossil fuels abroad instead of modernizing our infrastructure at home. www.sipri.org/sites/defaul...

In 1991, 600+ Kuwaiti oil wells were torched, dumping 1.5B barrels of toxins into the air. 35 years later, the soil hasn't fully recovered and "Gulf War Syndrome" still affects thousands. When oil is a target, the planet and people pay the price for generations. #war #environment #pollution #health

What a powerful day. Thanks to the organizers, speakers, and everyone who showed up. Decisions on hyperscale data centers will shape our water, energy, and climate future. When we speak up, lawmakers listen. Let’s keep the energy going- call, write, and stay engaged! video/pictures: ashley holmes

(NOTE: it was not a straight party line vote.) A few R Senators (Drazkowksi, Duckworth and Limmer) VOTED YES for Transparency And a few DFL Senators (Frentz, Hauschild, Klein, Kupec and Rest) VOTED NO against transparency #mnleg

The Richest People on Earth don’t want us to know how much taxpayer subsidies they’re getting or what they’re doing to our environment. The Senate almost voted prevent Big Tech from hiding behind Non-Disclosure Agreements. But it failed on a tie. Look who voted for transparency & who didn’t! #mnleg

@governorwalz.mn.gov please bring your campaign trail rhetoric back to MN. Repeal the data center tax exemptions cost our state hundreds of millions while making big tech billionaires even richer.

Taxpayer subsidies for the _Richest People on Earth_ are now being negotiated behind closed doors. Since the public isn’t invited, we shared some thoughts at the Capitol complex last night... #mnleg

Bird Flu is spreading across the nation and putting the country in danger. The Trump administration response is to fire USDA microbiologists fighting the disease. We are using every tool available to us to stop them.

China is electrifying faster than any other economy in the world. It has correctly apprehended that electricity is the future and the country that gets there first & develops the best electrification tech will win the 21st century. The US is held back in this race by its domestic O&G industry.
theprogressplaybook.com
Why China is leading the global switch to electricity
In 2024, electricity made up 28% of China's total final energy consumption. That's comfortably ahead of the US (22%) and the EU (21%).

Why is Minnesota giving tax breaks to the wealthiest corporations in the world for using huge amounts of our land, water, and electricity to host data centers?

I'm at the Senate hearing on Lee Zeldin's nomination for @EPA, where he just promised to spend all EPA funds appropriated by Congress & affirmed that only Congress can cut EPA's budget. This matters bc/ Congress rejected Trump's EPA cuts in 1st term but Trump's OMB pick wants to "traumatize" EPA.

Our State Senator must represent the whole district. That means showing up. In the last few days, I personally doorknocked voters in 9 big buildings in Cedar Riverside, working to earn people’s votes. I’ve met parents of kids who go to school with my kids at Pratt school. (1/3) #mnleg
