Rare aesthetic: being on the Detective Conan World Wiki prior to everything being fully done behind the scenes to make the server migration complete. (Anyway, the amazing folks over there seem to have everything in order now, I just managed to view the Conan page at the right time to see this.)

A screenshot of the Detective Conan World Wiki after it got the new theme and seemingly migrated to the new database, but before all of the images had their thumbnails made. The image used for the Hiroshi Agasa section, with the caption of Conan investigates with Agasa, throws up an Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination error. The image for the "Shinichi Kudo" section has an image captioned Conan and Shinichi, also throwing up the thumbnail error. The section for Heiji Hattori, however, has its image completely intact with the Osaka detective looking at the shrunken detective as we see Conan more from behind, the image having the caption Heiji enjoys teasing Conan.

Some Saras I drew recently for the Sara Talks Anime YouTube channel!

A grayscale Sara doing the "absolute cinema" pose.

A Sara who is wearing glasses and has her mouth open.

Getting started with a little project that I've actually been wanting to do on my site for quite a while: updating the images that I use on my site to better match my art style now! Here's the first one, which I use on posts that contain content/spoiler warnings! Previously used image on right.

A spooked cat girl wearing a warning sign necklace.

Less spooked cat girl trying to talk to you.

However, between when I took that screenshot and now, American Crunchyroll has updated the page to be labeled as just Detective Conan, killing the Case Closed name in America for the anime! :]

A screenshot of the page on Crunchyroll for Detective Conan, now labeled as just "Detective Conan" instead of "Case Closed (Detective Conan)".

I initially got this screenshot for an upcoming post to my blog to show that subtitles for this episode were screwed up. I can't believe it now serves as a time capsule for the labeling of the Detective Conan anime on American Crunchyroll...especially since I watched this episode YESTERDAY!

A screenshot of someone watching Episode 7 of Detective Conan on Crunchyroll. Note that the series is labeled here as "Case Closed (Detective Conan)".

How it feels analyzing each Detective Conan chapter/episode to see if I can figure out who the culprit is before Conan can. Anyway, for those of you who followed me here to get notified of my DetCo posts, next one's coming October 6th at 5:30 PM PDT! :]

Like, from what I can tell, EVERY SINGLE CRUNCHYROLL FALL 2025 PREMIERE THAT ISN'T CONTINUING A SERIES IS LABELED AS "SEASON 1" ON THE PREMIERE CALENDER.

Three premieres labeled as "Season 1", joined by releases of Rent-A-Girlfriend Season 4, The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4, and Dr. Stone Science Future.

Oh, if Crunchyroll doesn't clean up whatever THIS is by Monday, trying to find my one Fall 2025 simulcast that isn't a continuation of a show is gonna be HELL.

A screenshot of Crunchyroll's simulcast calendar. Alongside episodes of Tougen Anki, there's also three different series labeled as "Season 1", with two of them being premieres and one of them getting a second episode.

Crunchyroll's quality control being excellent, as always. /sarc

Screenshot of what I wrote on my fediverse account so that you guys have a bit more context because I don't wanna tango with BSky character limit.

Might as well begin taking time to highlight songs that I enjoy that I know exist BECAUSE of anime! I don't know how often I'll end up doing this...I'll probably do it this season and see if people want to see me highlight more.

Today: Unmei no Roulette Mawashite (Spinning the Roulette of Destiny). The original song is by ZARD and was used as the 4th opening of Detective Conan...but I can't find an official video for it, so you're getting La PomPon's cover, which was used as the 50th closing theme of the show, instead!

How I feel when I constantly refresh the Crunchyroll page that has the first two episodes of the "Conan vs the Black Organization" curated selection of episodes, trying to figure out WHY the other seven haven't been posted yet.

And, as of this post going up, I have finished writing and scheduling the writeups of the anime Food for the Soul that'll be going up on both STA! and LAAMC during the Summer 2025 season! :D (reusing the image from my Preliminary Opinion video on Dan Da Dan because I love the image.)

Sara, the mascot of Sara Talks Anime!, looking like she came straight out of a shojo manga.
