Friendly reminder that the existence of the storyboard of the final Detective Conan chapter has been known since *2022* at absolute *latest*, and nothing new about the storyboard was made public during the mention of it in 2026. It's literally just another confirmation that the storyboard exists.

– Both of your series have reached their critical junctures together. The identity of the Black Organization's 2nd in Command ‘Rum’ has been revealed, and ‘ONE PIECE! has reached its final arc!

Oda: Truly at the start I thought ‘ONE PIECE’ would end in five years, and in about a year and a half Luffy's crew of ten would have gathered together. I thought of it like a video game but I was far too naive! It's not that I wanted things to keep getting longer, that's just what ended up happening!!

Aoyama: Same, haha.

Oda: Have you thought to yourself “Okay, it’s time for ‘Detective Conan’ to end”?

Aoyama: This is between us, but I've already drawn the storyboard of the final chapter.

Oda: What!?

Aoyama: Maybe I shouldn't have said that? I don't want someone to come and steal it, haha. So as I mentioned earlier, I was in the hospital for a bit once. I got to thinking that people can up and die without warning, so I figured why not draw it? This was about five years ago. So I figured drawing the storyboard wouldn't be a big deal, though for now it's a stand in.

Oda: I guess it was just on a whim. But if you actually drew it, at least you were able to do it at your leisure?

Aoyama: You could say that, yeah. It wasn't such a big deal because I've already decided on the major details, but there are arcs and stories I'd have to get to beforehand…

Oda: How long will it take until the final chapter?

Aoyama: That's a secret, haha. I might decide to redraw the finale in the future… Hahaha.

Oda: I've always pictured what the final chapter of ‘ONE PIECE’ would be like, though from time to time, the situation surrounding it changes. It will still be over whenever the One Piece is found in the series, haha. Anyway, this next arc is the final one.

Aoyama: Seriously? Is it really going to end?

Oda: Yup, to me this is really the final arc.

When CHANMINA asked, “Did you think from the very beginning that Conan would become this beloved?” Aoyama replied, “No. Not at all. I thought it would probably end pretty quickly.” He said the first time he truly realized how loved the series was came when it was adapted into a movie for the first time. “That was the first time I thought, ‘Wow, people really love this,’” he recalled.

These days, he seems delighted by the fact that “the anime is on every week (laughs).” Smiling, he added, “When I talked with Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, we said to each other, ‘We’re probably the only ones whose manga gets turned into an anime every single week, right?’”

CHANMINA then asked, “I’m the kind of person who starts by thinking about the ending. I even live my life with retirement in mind. Do you ever think about things that way?”

Aoyama responded with a mischievous grin, “I’ve already drawn the storyboard for the final chapter. Want to see it? (laughs),” firmly confirming that a storyboard for the Detective Conan finale does indeed exist.

Incomplete because I drew this for something else that I need to do something with the colors to make them look the way I want for it (plus you can still see the sketch), but figured it was still worth sharing because this is my first time drawing Shinichi as SHINICHI instead of CONAN. #dcmk

✨️ASH PLAVEL'S 2026 INTRO POST✨️ Hi there! I'm Ash Plavell! I'm a hobbyist artist, fanfic author, and someone who heavily believes in the "I am cringe and I am free" mantra! I hope you enjoy the content that I create! If you share any interests with me, I'd love to be your mutual! :]

New intro post is still a work in progress: I decided it'd be cool to make a graphic for it, and I'm still working on it. Hoping to have this finished by Tuesday or Wednesday so that I can begin writing the new intro post.

An IbisPaint screenshot with a sketch of a jackal demon. Over that sketch, there is lineless art for the legs, the tail, the skirt, the left half of the torso, and the left arm. All unmentioned parts are just the sketch.

Have to temporarily re-pin my old intro post because the AI imagery labeler I use has been down for a while, and I don't know if it will come BACK. I'll be making a new intro post later, so just use the OG intro post as an expectation setter until I finish the new post.

Little by little, my Detective Conan merch collection is growing...

In front is a badge of Conan Edogawa riding a skateboard with a soccer ball and the targeting lens of the Stun Gun Wristwatch with him. Behind those are two figures: one with Ran Mori cosplaying as Kaito Kid, and one with Conan Edogawa cosplaying as Kaito Kid. Behind those is a plushie of Conan Edogawa.

TikTok is already being turned into a propaganda machine. A lack of ability to see criticism can persuade users to think that means there’s (unanimous) support. That, AND it’s collecting your data for whatever purpose it wants, & I bet at least a few of them you’d be horrified by. Just delete it.
