Still laughing at the predictable #hair #fail outcome a few days ago. Fab training 🏊‍♀️ at #Hathersage (alas, not my local pool) to start a daytrip there. Realised no #K18 antifrizz. Spent the rest of the day with frizz+++.

25m, 6 lane outdoor pool in residential area. At pool changeover, so empty.
Overcast sky, but there was a patch of blue sky.

This shows a Killer T cell as a ninja holding a sword. The role of a Killer T cell is to poke a hole in an infected host cell. This then kills the host cell off before it can be used to make more pathogen. As the virus, e.g. Rhinovirus for a common cold has already infected the host cell at the back of the throat & so has hijacked the host cell machinery (cell orgsnelles) to make more virus.

The only way to stop this process is kill the host cell. Programmed cell death known as apoptosis.

This is why you get a sore throat with a cold. The apoptosis.
