This afternoon I met up with @sarahwiththetrains.bsky.social and tried to avoid the rain as much as possible. To do this we went on the Subway, a couple of buses and then when the blue skies appeared we went on some trains! Just a general chilled afternoon was had!

What a brilliant surprise to finish off my weekend in the north east! Intercity 225 set is my chariot part of the way home! Spent the day exploring the coast taking in Whitley Bay, Tynemouth & Cullercoats with a trip on the Shields Ferry thrown in for good measure! Resulting in a very happy Sarah!

Not long now until I am stood outside Kings Cross and setting off on my walk to Inverness! This weekend I have purchased the last few bits I need for the walk bringing the total cost of this walk to over an eyewatering £2,700!

Coldham's Common parkrun isn't as cool as it's name may suggest today! My hottest parkrun yet and didn't I know it! Took it easy with plenty of walking breaks and sucked on my water bottle so hard at the end the cap came off. All good training though! Looking forward to next week's run!
