Watching some old @dirtylaundry.dropout.tv episodes I skipped the first time, and came across a reference to the guidance they're given for how to dress! Apparently it's "like you're going on Graham Norton"; I prefer my theory, "like you're going to a party full of hot people you want to impress."

Horned Lark Press are the real ones! I did some proofreading for them and when I saw my name credited in the ARC I got a little misty, like the first time I was thanked in the liner notes. If you hadn't noticed, editors NEVER get credited; it was totally unexpected 🥰

I only do this with things that have different flavors like fruit snacks or skittles, to make sure I don't end up with just a bunch of the worst ones at the end (lemon and lime).

I do house and petsitting from time to time, and I am here to tell you that the 'smarter' a house is, the more miserable it is for a sitter. Anything that makes sudden random noises is a big no from me, dawg. Plus I've never given a voice assistant a command yet, and I don't intend to start now.

Can I get a wellness check on the person who makes the thumbnails for @complexly.org? Or at least Ask Hank Anything. Even when someone I like is a guest I consider not watching every time, because generally the more shocked/disgusted/confused someone looks in YT thumbnail, the worst the show is.

Seriously, I went to a Ghibli night at a friend's house, and before starting they were like "Oh wait, before we start: subs or dubs?" I LAUGHED OUT LOUD because I thought they were joking...but turned out I was in the minority. Absolutely ruined the night!

Ok that is absolutely infuriating. That's not a translation, that's an adaptation – and based on the wiki, it sounds like it was basically a different book. That's fine, I guess?? But it would suck if it was the only "translation" available. What about people who want to experience the original??

Another sign taped on a wall of the same store, this one is more restrained and direct: in bold all caps it reads "CHANGING TAGS IS ILLEGAL." Below that, in much smaller but still bold all caps is "We have the telephone number to the police station."

I don't know if y'all have ever taken a photo that absolutely deserved to be a meme, but I just came across this sign I saw in a Salvation Army thrift store in Michigan in 2003, and "guilty of a larceny by trickery" is absolutely perfect.

Just to be clear I'm not implying that I'm not still hot; in some ways I'm way more hot now than I was in my 20s. But no one can argue that I'm not less visibly punk than I was when I literally lived in a punk house and wore bondage pants and shit 😁

I feel like I tell you you're cute all the time! But also my peak Punk Hottie years were about two decades ago so I understand if I don't count anymore 😞
