I think Large Francis by @tkingfisher.com might be the single most delightful character I have encountered in a book for many years. Only up to chapter 11 so far but sed no reason yet to change this judgement.

Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete (GOG) on Mac via VCMI. But wait you say. That is an iPad. Well yes, but it is connected via Jump Desktop to the Mac just to see if it worked.
