Peanuts agrees that AN ENCANTADORA’S GUIDE TO MONSTROS AND MAGIC is wonderful. 😁🐕🦴 And another part I loved was the Portuguese influence. Reminded me of my Portuguese ancestors. It was fun to see in this adventurous #mg by @sarahjmendonca.bsky.social. You’ll love it. #kidlit

Recent WONDERFUL read: #mg fantasy novel AN ENCANTADORA’S GUIDE TO MONSTROS & MAGIC by @sarahjmendonca.bsky.social. I LOVED this book so much! Fun magic, great characters and a mystery that reminds me of how Terry Pratchett’s book spin metaphors for our real world issues. Highly recommend! #kidlit

Ever want to know more about plotting and are in the Wisconsin area?

Check out my upcoming presentation, Plotting the bones of your story, at the @hpljanesville -
Hedberg Public Library Book Festival.

From character, setting and voice there are many parts that work together to create the body of your story. Unfortunately, that can all fall apart if you don’t have a strong plot to hold it all up. You’ll learn about crafting a core plot idea, key plot beats, and the importance of meeting genre expectations.
