Along with incredible momentum, I’ve seen naysayers pointing out that this boycott is imperfect or won’t have “enough” of an impact. The hole-poking is unhelpful. Being part of a movement means knowing how to follow. There is always room for improvement, but seeking perfection will bog us down.
Economic Boycott poster with red rabbit on blue background. Text reads, "don't buy stuff Friday Feb. 28. We have power. No Amazon, Target, fast food, gas. Ok small business. Use cash."
Surrounding the poster in white text on a red background reads, "Why we are all getting on board with this boycott. 'If you really care about starting a movement, have the courage to follow and show others how to follow.'"

Keep an eye on your local school board elections AND school PTA elections. Most PTAs will be posting their board slates in the next two months. Board members don't have to campaign and are selected by a committee. If the DOE really goes, it's going to be the locals holding schools together.
