FF7 Revelation: the unorthodox way to skydive by Valentine #FF7R

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 08/06/2026

The high from the FF7R reveal on friday has been slowly corroded by every bit of expansion news from the PWHL. Detroit is sitting with Vegas on my shit list.

Here’s hoping but considering who else is in that episode I worry we’ll suffer tonal whiplash and too little time will be given to Lucy. I hope and pray I’m wrong though.

That jump scare took me out. The zombie episode will never achieve that level of shock. But also how else will we know how in love they are??? Imagine if Nolan, not knowing she was there, brought friends home for a drink 🤦‍♀️

The Rookie and timelines is the most hilarious mismatch ever. What do you mean 5 years? Lucy‘s running around with 2019 on her ribs from her rookie year and you’re telling me that was 5 years ago but all your evidence is being logged for 2026???

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 14/01/2026

Chenford‘s “Girlfriend Lucy?“ gave me flashbacks to Hollanov’s ”Boyfriend?“ ”Yes, I think, probably.“ When you can link two different fandoms it’s always a good day.

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 12/01/2026

That was my first fear! but I assume a task force should have a bigger room. Oh maybe the asbestos room from season six!

110

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 12/01/2026

Yeah, where this task force office… 🤔

110

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 12/01/2026

To be clear I don’t think the show will do this and timing could put these two events weeks from each other but… it could be fun. Would be a fun way to display some growth for him too, turning to Lucy without prompting, confiding his fears, setting up a therapy appt or using the tools it gave him.

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 12/01/2026

The real reason Tim took the watch commander role is because it comes with an office surrounded by glass so he won’t be tempted to create a HR issue with his future wife, Sergeant Lucy Chen. But he can also watch her longingly from afar 🤣🤣🤣

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 12/01/2026

She's beauty; she's grace; she has a smile on her face and she'll eff up your day, don't cross her.

031

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 12/01/2026

Am I the only one connecting the dots between Tim trying to rise in the ranks, and his squad mates died in an airstrike, and now Tim's getting a promotion and the station explodes? I mean, it might not go down like that, but... it would be interesting if it did. 👀

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 07/01/2026

I know exactly how you feel! It felt like a fever dream; like fanfic made real. And now I can’t focus on anything. i just want to go back and rewatch over and over. Totally fixated in the best way. It’s old school The Rookie.

010

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 07/01/2026

They broke up in the dark and got back together in the light. I love that for them. Also relates to Tim being in a darker place and now feeling a lot lighter. Man, this is so good. #chenford

Chenford fam, how’re we doing?

110

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 06/01/2026

I love how every season The Rookie is like "cast discuss returning villains" Yes, all the villains return. They're like the Batman villains, they just never go away (unless they die). Jail cannot contain them; even if they escape, they come back like boomerangs because they love Nolan I guess.

000

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 31/12/2025

Imagine if the reason Nolan had to go to Prague was because everyone else is involved in Operation Chenford TM (coined by Angela), including Tim and Lucy, except they don't know they're involved, and Angela just goes to Grey with a list of everyone who cannot go to Prague because of "reasons".

010

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 30/12/2025

Yesss, the reassurance of endgame makes it so much easier to just sort of go with the flow. Like we'll get there, it just depends how much longer the writers want to drag it out but I'm here for the journey no matter how long it takes.

010

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 30/12/2025

I'd love that but my expectations are in the ground after the last few seasons. I enjoyed them, but for every step forward we take, we reverse three miles down the mountain.

110

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 30/12/2025

YES! Like can't say anything because it could trigger the fandom. Heck, if she breathed or blinked a certain way, people would have Lucy engaged, eloped, pregnant 😂

110

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 30/12/2025

Thank god for Melissa getting to the heart of the matter. NUMBER 1 Lucy Chen is a sergeant! That's it. That's everything. That's all that matters. Monica? Oscar? Blips on the radar. LUCY HAS STRIPES! Thus endeth the Lucy Lesson.

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 29/12/2025

When my non-hockey mutuals are telling me to watch the hockey show, then I guess I must watch the hockey show. And then subject them to all my weird hockey knowledge that they now have context for.

000

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 29/12/2025

You should! It’s expensive but totally worth it and it’s interactive! I also saw a light kit for it which will be my project for next year I think, so I can make it a christmas decoration. Definitely the highlight of my Christmas this year.

000

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 28/12/2025

I enjoyed the Chenford Legos so much that I ended up getting the Home Alone Lego set and spent most of Christmas building it. It was a lot of fun to build, and I loved all the little nods to moments in the film.

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 16/12/2025

I’m surprised he hasn’t brought it up more but I figure the writers forgot he has one. Alexi did say he’d be the oldest detective at some point or something similar. 🙃 Makes me want to sit him down and make him watch the show again.

010

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 16/12/2025

Also like shouldn’t a union rep know this? Like… I feel like that may be a question an officer might go to a union rep about but I could be completely wrong.

120

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 16/12/2025

Grey needs to start recording answers for questions from his TOs, it’ll save him time. Q: If my wife/girlfriend gets a job offer in another city, what does that mean for my transfer? A: You‘ll have to start from the ground up.

120

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 16/12/2025

And there’s 18 episodes to do that. It’ll be fine.

000

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 16/12/2025

I‘m excited for Chenford. Like that clip can go many ways. Maybe if Tim sticks to his guns, she’ll realise he’s serious about this but she needs to be able to air her hurt and he has to be able to air his fears. Honesty and communication needs to be built back up again and more so trust.

110

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 13/12/2025

The amount of times Alexi says ”I think” in this article. They’re your characters dude, please ”know” something. As long as the mortal peril is not fatal I’m all on for it! I need feral Timothy.

010

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 12/12/2025

I just found out who Nathan is in The Mighty Nein, and oh my god. Holy shit. This is gonna be interesting. (I love this actually)

010

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 01/12/2025

Looking for fanfic recs is really hard, because most people suggest the same fics over and over. I get it, they're very well written, hugely popular stories... but I've already read them. I want to find something I haven't read. The hidden gems.

010

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 29/11/2025

They're so cute! Mine always make me smile when I see them. Best buy in a long time.

110

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 26/11/2025

I need FF7 to remember that Aerith can heal and there's healing materia in the game, so maybe when someone in a cutscene is injured or near death's door, Aerith, or anyone, could try healing them as a reaction instead of doing nothing but clutching their hands. It really breaks the immersion.

010

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 24/11/2025

Ugh, I read so much present-tense fanfic that sometimes, while writing, I'll slip into "She sees this" and it's like, nope, nope, she's in the past, she saw that. It's so easy to do, and every time it's so jarring to have to go back and fix it.

030

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 24/11/2025

The orange one, I think. Her cars have been orange, her jackets are orange and it looks like it unfurls like rays of the sun, so also very Lucy coded.

And they haven‘t posted a status here yet either but it‘s a Cloudflare issue and they’re checking on it so hopefully we’ll hear something from AO3 status soon.

AO3 being down is so depressing. Hopefully it’ll be a short disruption.

Yes! Channel 4 had SG1, that’s right. And then it must have moved to Syfy, or definitely a channel I could not get. Farscape was amazing. Also loved how some shows aired completely out of order so you had to do super sleuthing to figure out what the actual plot was.

210

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 17/11/2025

Oh yeah! I watched a bit of it too before it left the Channel I was watching it on. I didn’t even have Sky so couldn’t get Syfy 😭 I had to rely on channels like BBC2 and TV3 airing things like Buffy, Farscape etc

110

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 17/11/2025

Oh my god, you were dedicated!! What was the show?

110

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 17/11/2025

God bless those fans! But it was the era of never having spoilers. Which was nice. Funnily enough, internet got faster but it still feels like they put a show into a row boat and send it across the water for how long it takes to air here at times.

110

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 17/11/2025

Why did I insist on putting Caleb into my cute little hockey fic? I don’t like writing Caleb. He gives me the creeps. He’s not even supposed to be creepy, but we all know Caleb is creepy so why hide it and pretend he’s not? Why not go all in on the eerie vibes and let Lucy sense the danger?

020

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 17/11/2025

YES! And having to watch shows on YouTube in 15 minute parts. Also my dog figured out that the cable plugged into the laptop meant I’d be distracted so he’d nose it out of the socket - it took ten minutes to connect every time!
