FF7 Revelation: the unorthodox way to skydive by Valentine #FF7R

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 08/06/2026

The high from the FF7R reveal on friday has been slowly corroded by every bit of expansion news from the PWHL. Detroit is sitting with Vegas on my shit list.

The Rookie and timelines is the most hilarious mismatch ever. What do you mean 5 years? Lucy‘s running around with 2019 on her ribs from her rookie year and you’re telling me that was 5 years ago but all your evidence is being logged for 2026???

Chenford‘s “Girlfriend Lucy?“ gave me flashbacks to Hollanov’s ”Boyfriend?“ ”Yes, I think, probably.“ When you can link two different fandoms it’s always a good day.

She's beauty; she's grace; she has a smile on her face and she'll eff up your day, don't cross her.

Am I the only one connecting the dots between Tim trying to rise in the ranks, and his squad mates died in an airstrike, and now Tim's getting a promotion and the station explodes? I mean, it might not go down like that, but... it would be interesting if it did. 👀

They broke up in the dark and got back together in the light. I love that for them. Also relates to Tim being in a darker place and now feeling a lot lighter. Man, this is so good. #chenford

Chenford fam, how’re we doing?

I love how every season The Rookie is like "cast discuss returning villains" Yes, all the villains return. They're like the Batman villains, they just never go away (unless they die). Jail cannot contain them; even if they escape, they come back like boomerangs because they love Nolan I guess.

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 31/12/2025

Imagine if the reason Nolan had to go to Prague was because everyone else is involved in Operation Chenford TM (coined by Angela), including Tim and Lucy, except they don't know they're involved, and Angela just goes to Grey with a list of everyone who cannot go to Prague because of "reasons".

Thank god for Melissa getting to the heart of the matter. NUMBER 1 Lucy Chen is a sergeant! That's it. That's everything. That's all that matters. Monica? Oscar? Blips on the radar. LUCY HAS STRIPES! Thus endeth the Lucy Lesson.

When my non-hockey mutuals are telling me to watch the hockey show, then I guess I must watch the hockey show. And then subject them to all my weird hockey knowledge that they now have context for.

I enjoyed the Chenford Legos so much that I ended up getting the Home Alone Lego set and spent most of Christmas building it. It was a lot of fun to build, and I loved all the little nods to moments in the film.

Grey needs to start recording answers for questions from his TOs, it’ll save him time. Q: If my wife/girlfriend gets a job offer in another city, what does that mean for my transfer? A: You‘ll have to start from the ground up.

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 16/12/2025

I‘m excited for Chenford. Like that clip can go many ways. Maybe if Tim sticks to his guns, she’ll realise he’s serious about this but she needs to be able to air her hurt and he has to be able to air his fears. Honesty and communication needs to be built back up again and more so trust.

I just found out who Nathan is in The Mighty Nein, and oh my god. Holy shit. This is gonna be interesting. (I love this actually)

Looking for fanfic recs is really hard, because most people suggest the same fics over and over. I get it, they're very well written, hugely popular stories... but I've already read them. I want to find something I haven't read. The hidden gems.

010

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 26/11/2025

I need FF7 to remember that Aerith can heal and there's healing materia in the game, so maybe when someone in a cutscene is injured or near death's door, Aerith, or anyone, could try healing them as a reaction instead of doing nothing but clutching their hands. It really breaks the immersion.

010

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 24/11/2025

Ugh, I read so much present-tense fanfic that sometimes, while writing, I'll slip into "She sees this" and it's like, nope, nope, she's in the past, she saw that. It's so easy to do, and every time it's so jarring to have to go back and fix it.

Why did I insist on putting Caleb into my cute little hockey fic? I don’t like writing Caleb. He gives me the creeps. He’s not even supposed to be creepy, but we all know Caleb is creepy so why hide it and pretend he’s not? Why not go all in on the eerie vibes and let Lucy sense the danger?

I got my Chenford Lego’s and they’re so cute! They genuinely make me smile every time I see them (not so much building them because what do you mean the Tim’s face is upside down?!). Thank you @isca-rambles.bsky.social for helping me source them! 🧡

Just watched the first Mighty Nein episode on Youtube and holy crap, it's going to be so good. Also so curious about who Nathan Fillion will be playing in this. I could google, but I'd rather watch the episode and shout John Nolan?! at my TV when the episode airs.

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 11/11/2025

I wanted to jump on the Chenford Lego bandwagon (because I want plants, but I will kill them). Alas, they're out of stock with no due date 😭😭

On board for the Vampire!AU but, please, as if Lucy wouldn't be the vamp in this scenario. Have we seen her?! This is the AU I'm waiting for.

I didn't get my Afterlife Chenford fic updated for Halloween, so here, have a snippet instead.

I’d love this, and I really hope this is what happens, but I also have such low expectations for that. Also, this gun is 2 apples tall! Lucy‘s gonna use it to pole vault out of danger!

I had two hours to write this morning before work, and it all got sidetracked by a need to read through Rookie transcripts to figure out if Andersen ever mentioned a coworker prior to the LAPD. So now I have to take a ton of notes for the outline.

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 10/10/2025

Have we ever actually seen the Greys at home? We've gone to everyone else's homes in The Rookie, but I don't think we've ever really interacted with Wade & Luna outside of the station/hospital, and I think that's a shame. I'd forgo an ending scene at Nolan's to catch up with the Greys. Just saying.

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 05/10/2025

All plans to write this weekend went out the window when Storm Amy visited and knocked out the power (and some trees and ripped away our canopy). So yeah, there'll not be any updates this weekend either 😢

Baffled by those who think fandom must cater to them specifically. If you want to see more of your favourite character, create something for your fave. Want more of your ship? Create it and support those who create for it. Don't berate others for liking something else. You're not their audience.

000

Zadien @sapphire-sunset.bsky.social · 12/09/2025

No one told me being an adult meant wishing my life away to get closer to my ships 😂

Mafuyu in judgement is giving me serious Aerith vibes. She can't walk by herself to the taxi? The taxi that is right there, like three buildings up? The one we can see from the office door. She can't go there herself? I'm sorry, in this era, my chivalry is deader than dead.

September has rolled around, and I'm yet again reminded that I have not finished Fall Ball Fling. Poor Cloud and Tifa, just hanging out in the lobby of a ballroom waiting to get their dance for five years now because I suck. #cloti

I know this game is trying to push this pairing on me, but honestly, the moment she said she was leaving town, I just cheered. Sure, she's cute but her personality is like wet cardboard.
