So, I think I've given up on keeping track of my exact age. I enjoy celebrating my birthday, but I don't think about my age like I did when I was younger. I think of myself as "in my 30s" more than I think of myself as 31.

Finally watchin the Red Sonja movie, and it definitely hits a lot of the things that I covered when I wrote a paper on @gailsimone.bsky.social for my feminist lit class in college. I don't know if Gail did any writing for the movie, but it certainly has her fingerprints on it.

FYI, the scene in X-Men 3: The Last Stand where a young Angel is standing in the bathroom with a razor blade, scraping his feathers off in a puddle of blood when his father walks in? That's a queer allegory for LGBTQ+ youth trying and failing to fit into heteronormative standards.
