For sure. And friends who were in the Navy and Coast Guard. And bar pilots!

Dogs are so smart, and they have us pegged.

Our new neighbor has a Golden Retriever who likes to lie down on the sidewalk and refuse to budge. First time I saw it, I thought, "Oh, poor doggie," as the owner tugged and tugged. Then a child on a bike rode past, and the dog sprang up and kept walking, tail wagging. LOL

We went to a really well-presented maritime museum on the Oregon Coast. They had so many cool artifacts, local martime history, Coast Guard rescue stories, 18th century explorers to the area, European martime history, territory skirmishes, and naval personalities.

a2) I love labels! Bookstores and wine/liquor stores are my favorites. Just walk the aisles and see how the designers use their limited space to educate and influence you to act. I'm also fond of curated Instagram accounts and walks outside. #FreelanceFriends

My parents loved exploring. Long drives on Sunday. It's good for kids to experience that, I believe.

One of my clients is really into literacy, and we have not heard of the United Way program. Should she ask at her local library?

Folks on Reddit say to only write the article for the client with clear (limited) boundaries, not submit it for review or post it, because you can't control that part and it's time-consuming. And never use your own email address to set up a Wikipedia account because of doxxing. #FreelanceFriends

Why do I screenshot so much! My old phone I had to do the many button thing to take a screenshot. Now I just wave my hand over the screen. Easy! I have to always winnow -- but then I remember, so that's good. #FreelanceFriends

A3. Lots of photos on my phone, just to remember. Selfies, dogs, flowers, trains, and sunsets. I also like to stop and watch Little League games and martial arts in the park. Q3. We're out. We're about...then what? Notebook or ideas journal? Photos? #FreelanceFriends

A2. Getting at least a block away from my home office helps. But if I go out and sit on the front porch, someone I know walks by pretty soon, and that shifts my brain out of gnawing-on-work mode. #FreelanceFriends

A2. I like to take drives, random. Husb always wants to know where we're going. Kills the joy, I'm afraid. Q2. Where does your inspiration come from? Where do you go when you need ideas? Online? Out in the wild? #freelanceFriends

It's hard to not eat them all, but I can make a small batch of flourless peanut butter cookies and control myself. 1 c. PB+ 1 c. brown sugar + 1 egg + 1 tsp vanilla. That's it! Chill dough, put fork-pressed balls on sheet, sprinkle w/ coarse salt (really, it's good), and bake at 350 for 10 mins.
