Since my body doesn’t handle taking a walk every day, I decided to follow up my weight training with time on a bike at the Y. I had trouble focusing on my audio book while pedaling. The guy next to me was reading an ebook. I may try that on Thursday.

On Thursday, DH and I went shopping on the 127 Yard Sale. We picked up a few things. It was his first time, so I took it easy on him. This morning I went out by myself, intending to shop in the other direction. First stop and I found a bread maker, which is what I was looking for.

I may be crazy, but I’m thinking about going to the Y in the morning, coming home to get a shower, then heading to physical therapy. I’d have just enough time afterwards to see a matinee of The Odyssey. The main problem would be that I’m notorious for sleeping thru fight scenes.

My 70 yo brother is planning on getting married on Friday. This will be his 3rd marriage since his first wife died in 2021. It’s only been six months since wife #3 died. I’m not handling the news well.

When the nurse at the doctors office told me that my BP was a little high, I replied that it’s probably because my husband drove me in today. She lol’d and said that I made her day. My appt was at 7:45, so the bar is high for the rest of the patients.

I took a break in my walk to chat with a neighbor and to take a peek at his shade garden. Its lovely. After my third loop around the block, I took a closer look at the shady side of the house. I think it needs some hostas. I also plan to move some fun things to see to that side of the house.

Today’s side quest has been the Linux side of my old Window box. There is a collection of music files (pdf and mp3) and they don’t match what I have in my iCloud. It a wonderful collection of music I thought I’d lost, but this will take days/weeks to sort and combine.

I booted up my old Windows computer because it has a CD drive and I have a bunch of old CDs that I didn’t know what was on them. Out of curiosity, I launched the Linux side of the computer and found JavaScript code snippets files from 2012. I retired from the company in 2023.

I’m test crocheting an amigurumi pattern before I teach some kids to do it. My hand does not enjoy this process. The bigger hook rubs against the scar tissue on my hand. I wonder if those handle grips would help. Anyone have experience with them? #crochet

There isn’t much that belonged to my mom that has survived. I was 10 when she died. I have some very old photos—practically none in my lifetime. But I have a cross that she wore in her senior picture in 1939, her letter from baseball, and a metal cross. ⬇️
