Sam Rose @samwho.dev · 16/09/2026Talon is more for voice control, not dictation. For dictation I use handy.computer with the Parakeet model (I’d use the Cohere models, because they’re more accurate, but they don’t support more than a minute or so of dictation at a time.) 000

I almost always want to change slides in response to what I'm saying, and it was nice to have a really nice API to do that with. You can still see a little nudging here and there with those trimStart, extendEnd calls etc. 010

Then I have code that can find a point in a recording by using the transcription, so I can drive all of my animations and transitions this way. It was a really neat workflow! 140
