Happy birthday, Anne. I hope you're haunting Rolin Jones and Hannah Moscovitch extra hard today, just as they deserve. 🖤

Anyway, all this to say I got my hands on Hanagumi's Castlevania musical adaptation, and Towaki Sea's Alucard is everything to me

Saturdays are for going on road trips to a castle ✨

So the VC book fandom is at fault for the adaptation being completely different to the source material. Apparently we know the books too well for Rolin's liking. 💀

I was just reading that article, and wtf? Imagine getting your former fic published and then you shit on fic authors as if their work is inferior. Crazy

Can't believe I never posted pics from inside the Opera Garnier from a couple of weeks ago! Possibly the most stunning building I've ever been inside.

The Grand Foyer/Ballroom of the Opera Garnier. It was designed to resemble the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles.

Photo of the Opera Garnier auditorium, taken from a box at the back. The auditorium has a classical horseshoe shape, and an 8 ton central chandelier that hangs above.

Photo of the Grand Staircase at the Opera Garnier. The stairs are made of white marble, and the balustrade is made of green and red marble. The large central staircase splits into two diverging sets of stairs, and the entire area is lit by candelabras on torchères.

Ended the night with a surprise Notre Dame visit. It can't be overstated just how imposing and majestic it is inside

Visited Nijinsky in Montmartre Cemetery this morning 🥀

Picture of famous ballet dancer Vaslav Nijinsky's tomb in Montmartre Cemetery. A statue of Petrushka (one of his most famous roles) sits on top of the grave

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes! I am tired and full of chocolate mousse, but I am incredibly happy. Here's me in the Phantom's box at the Opera Garnier! I almost got locked in a toilet cubicle nearby and I suspect it was him

Happy birthday to the Queen of all vampires, Anne Rice. I can't think of a single human who has inspired and influenced me more, and I could only hope to be half as eccentric and unashamedly unique as her! We miss you Anne. 🖤

One day I'm going to bother everyone I know into reading this duology lol. I'm such a picky vampire fiction reader (thank you Anne Rice) but I am in love with this decadent queer story, and Vauquelin has become one of my favourite characters. Highly recommend them to all my TVC girlies!

An image of two paperback books on a white background. The book on the left has a floral cover with "Beguiled by Night: A Vampire Tale" in white font. The book on the right is black and purple with skulls and flowers, with "Citizens of Shadow" in pink and white font.
