Heading back to Glasgow after 2 weeks of working and then a larp, with no time to stop, breathe & think. I hadn't been able to bring myself to book a train ticket I needed to. Today I did it. Next week, I leave. I'm moving to London and my entire world changes. I havent yet come to terms with it.

I'm currently sat in Orkney, with one final event for the science festival. I go home tomorrow for a night, and then off to Cambridge via London for the final LARP of the year. And then, in just over two weeks time, im moving to London to start working at ZSL London Zoo. A whirlwind few weeks.

Ive been very quiet recently. On Monday, I go to Orkney for 10 days, then straight to London for the last LARP of the year. My life is very up in the air right now, and I have no idea what the next couple of months is gonna look like. The current plan, move to London and be near my best friends.

I'm really glad the AI Human Made signs we made had the uptake they did, and that this was apparently "noted" by the organisers. (Whatever that means! If I don't get in next year we know why) But I shouldn't have had to make them. It's past time that UKGE took a stance.

It’s undeniable I had a great time, but I’m including this last graphic, and imploring UKGE to take the discontent around AI ‘creators’ more seriously.

As an attendee AND an exhibitor, I am SO disappointed that there is still no official stance or implemented anti-AI policy when other cons, big and small, have them. I still found exhibitors that used AI in their products, and that stand space could have gone to genuine creators that enrich this community with their creativity.

I hope that the existence of two panels discussing the topic of how damaging AI can be (which notably were on at the same time...), and the popular ‘Human Made’ signs that so many exhibits displayed proudly are noted as a sign of just how many people do NOT want AI at this con.

Con-goers asked us about our stance on AI before purchasing.
