People keep referencing the Ajanis, the red one is cracked but I don't think the white one is very good. Similarly, Chandra ToD is great but blue Chandra probably just OK. After that it's like, Lyra? Liliana? Which are fine cards but not worth complaining about in the slightest

People are making way too big a deal about FRA sealed imbalance from the mirrored pairs. The list of pairs where both cards are busted is exactly the Garruks. Even for the uncommons, a large portion of this space is taken up by 2c + monocolor pairs that you can't/shouldn't play in the same deck.

Trophied prerelease with a scrappy(?) 1-rare GW deck! Had a GR tricks build where Ferocities would have been GREAT but decided the grindier build looked better. Won a lot of games combining Battalion with the Pegasus! Unbelievably good games tonight too.

This preview season I'm struck by the idea that the way most of us talk about draft is fundamentally flawed. Winrate data, format speeds, A-F grades, tier lists are 2-dimensional answers and draft is a 3-dimensional problem.

t128 - Innistrad to Eldritch Moon 0-2💀 with Wg Humans. Didn't love the deck (there was another WG drafter) but definitely had a shot at the requisite 2-1. Got hit with the r1 Stormbreath Dragon🐉 r2 Lifebane Zombie🧟bad beats.

D4 - I Loot the Body by @gingan1nja.bsky.social (color-imbalanced desert with free loot per turn cycle) 3-0🏆 with Mardu 'Crats. Way too much to say for one post here but I legitimately thought I was going to 0-3 and instead found myself knocking out Corey B in the finals.

D3 - HeatherCube ("2015 vibes") 2-1 with Naya Beats. Awkward draft - fought over RG with my r1 opponent, who was in Jund and beat me with the Slightly Bigger Midrange Deck (Emrakulled my ass). Casting Kird Ape ruled.

D2 - Kuleshov Cube by @griselbrand.com (no-red synergy cube) 3-0🏆 with Orzhov Enchs+Lifegain. Thought my deck was kind of medium but it again had good card quality+mana, and powerful outs to win games. Flying is great. Whip was def wrong, boarded it out every game.

D1 - The Legacy of Bloodwake Atoll (pirate-themed desert cube) 2-1 with Esper Artifacts. High card quality, good mana, and pretty powerful synergies, just got boomed by a really nice RB beatdown deck. Probably my favorite cube of the weekend - fun cards and great execution of the theme!

Prequel - Stadium Stampede by @ryanoverdrive.bsky.social (each player starts with a Stx Stadium) 2-1 with "Sultai Control". Took the draw (starting player's stadium is tapped -> player otd gets 2 mana + I have no 1 drops). Loaded up on 2-for-1s and ways to untap the stadium. Incredibly fun games!
