I'm very sorry I haven't posted my A Seal Upon My Heart chapter yet this week. I've been struggling through some mental health issues, but I will do my best to post tomorrow! The chapter just needs a read through, then I can post.

I saved writing until I get home and my kiddo retires for the evening. Then naturally the period after work is stressful and crazy with some extended family stress and now I just want to go home and collapse with #Manacled. 🫠 🫠 🫠

Tonight is going to be a Listen-To-An-Entire-Music-Album and work on A Seal Upon My Heart. I am still dying from reading Manacled, but I'm going to take some time for my own writing and get some fun stuff written. And by fun stuff, I mean rip your heart out and stomp it stuff.

Got 668 words down for A Seal Upon My Heart while at the tail end of work. I want to write more. I'm so close to being done with ch29. I am still not sure how many words this beast is going to be. I'm already at 175,000+ words, which is the longest fix or novel I've ever written. Content of ch29:

Emerging from the sick cave. Back to work today even though I want to be at home in pajamas. But if I can sit at home, I can sit at work.

Sick. At work. Because American work culture is fucked and I only have 19 hours of sick time saved and I need to save it for things like covid, strep, or the flu. I have a child in school, which means germs. Germs everywhere. Me: I'm dying. Please go away. Germs:

A freak accident dropped my phone into a ton of water yesterday. I immediately turned it off and did all the "right things". I have to wait 48 hours to turn it back on and see if it works. If it doesn't, I'm going to have to get a new phone. T_T Glad I'm a millennial and can use a computer, haha.

Started writing my first original dark fairytale retelling. I'm enjoying it immensely and also don't know what the hell I'm doing. So this should be an interesting journey.

My entire therapy sesh today was about all my writing neuroses: past problems, my failure at publishing, problematic themes in my work, & the way, despite it all, that I was working through my past pain and trauma; how even now (I'm nearly 40) writing is my greatest non-family-related passion.

A SEAL UPON MY HEART UPDATE: this fic is currently on hiatus, but I am 100% planning to finish it. I took a writing break from May - October, but I am now getting back into my daily writing groove. Give me some time and I'll be back to Seal for sure! It is near & dear to my heart. #asealuponmyheart
