Feels like KC abandoning the run game after dominating Denver with it last game also looms large. 2-1 pass-run ratio after last week is a choice.

Terrible clock management led to a terrible decision to go for it with 3 seconds left and we all see the result.

School Board Sam @samhershey.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

That doesn’t make it a better play call. Gotta involve your best offensive players when the game is on the line.

We are miles behind in infrastructure compared to so many nations. The fact that we don’t have high speed rail will forever annoy me.

Some of players DD left behind were major contributors to the 101-win team in 2023. The numbers don’t lie.

What’s incredible about his answer is the success in 2023 included a lot of players from Duquette. Kremer, GRod, Bautista, Bauman, DL Hall, Akin a combined 44-17 with 33 saves. Santander, Hays, Mullins, and Mountcastle all in the starting lineup. What a petty answer by Elias.

It's election time, they have nothing else to run on, and they are desperate. This will continue until November.

I'm surprised to not see a goalie change. Not Anderson's fault but the team needs a spark desperately.

The Mystics are a mess. Self-inflicted damage by Winger firing their successful GM before the draft and now an undrafted rookie is playing significantly more minutes than the 3 first round picks.

I just want to know if my party is developing it's own project 2027 & project 2029 with major government reforms from SCOTUS to safe guards against fascists, implementing universal health care, a fairer tax system, etc. If we aren't we are failing.

000

School Board Sam @samhershey.bsky.social · 09/05/2026

My pick for ROY as well. She would’ve been great in DC. I like Cotie too but not sure the fit.

120

School Board Sam @samhershey.bsky.social · 09/05/2026

Betts was an understandable pick. I don’t get not going after Flau’jae or Raven when they had two other picks & both players were right there for deals to be made. They drafted frontcourt backups instead of filling obvious guard needs with consensus first round picks.

210

School Board Sam @samhershey.bsky.social · 09/05/2026

They did Wideman dirty. She did an excellent job in her one season.

000

School Board Sam @samhershey.bsky.social · 09/05/2026

Agreed and they shouldn't have fired their GM right before the off-season and draft.

100

School Board Sam @samhershey.bsky.social · 08/05/2026

Mystics trade Austin at the deadline as Betts pushes to be starting. Betts makes all-rookie team. Agree that Flau'jae is ROY. She averages close to 20 pg. Valkyries GM will go down as making one of the worst trades in WNBA history.

It has nothing to do with schools, public or private. It’s the destructive nature/brain rot from social media.

150

School Board Sam @samhershey.bsky.social · 14/04/2026

A team desperate for guards didn't bother to get a guard and clearly could've moved up to ensure getting an elite guard prospect doesn't make sense...unless you view it as they are tanking for the 2027 draft class.

000

School Board Sam @samhershey.bsky.social · 14/04/2026

Can’t wait to read your analysis on the Mystics draft strategy. Not landing a guard in the first round is as baffling as is loading up on PF/C players. Cotie might be there best pick if she can play the 3 with Citron at the 2 and Kiki at the 4.

School Board Sam @samhershey.bsky.social · 07/04/2026

Did Wideman want to add FA talent and Winger/Leonsis said no or did Wideman want to build slowly and the Winger/Leonsis want to compete this season? Dysfunction is par for the course with Monumental basketball either way.

000

School Board Sam @samhershey.bsky.social · 05/04/2026

I’d love to see at least two players from the finals on the Mystics. After watching Betts in the biggest games, Mystics can’t pass on her at 4. Appreciate your coverage. My go-to for women’s bball news. Refs were much better today compared to UCLA-Texas rugby game.

100% agree. Also, the last 2 minutes of this game was an embarrassment to the game. The Heat intentionally fouling when up big to get Bam more looks. They are lucky the Wiz have no heart or professional pride anywhere in the organization.

Scouting America bent the knee today. In an agreement with "Dept. of War" they're nixing the Citizenship Merit badge which discusses DEI & ethical leadership and are launching a Military Service merit badge "developed in coordination with the department." New scout slogan? It's all about the money!

Description of what the agreement covers:

What This Agreement Delivers
Continued support for Scouting on military installations worldwide
Ongoing Department support for National Jamborees and other events
New benefits for military families, including waiving registration fees for children of active-duty, Guard, and Reserve families
Launching a new Military Service merit badge, developed in cooperation with the Department
Memorializing our existing practices for membership registration and safeguarding youth
As part of Scouting America’s commitment to comply with Executive Order 14173, we will be discontinuing the Citizenship in Society merit badge. While this change complies with the Executive Order, the lessons found in this merit badge are found throughout the Scouting program. Scouting has always taught respect for others, leadership, and consideration of diverse perspectives through the ideals enshrined in the Scout Oath and Law. Scouting America’s mission remains unchanged and is reinforced across our advancement, leadership development, and outdoor experiences.

Our emphasis on duty to God, duty to country, and service to others is strengthened by this partnership. Scouting’s values have not changed, and they will not change.

<br>

Scouting America and the Department of War
Scouting Family,

Today, Scouting America and the Department of War finalized a commitment to strengthen our longstanding partnership with the U.S. military. Over several months, we engaged in dialogue with Department leadership to align on how we could deepen our service to military families, while making programmatic updates to comply with Executive Order 14173.

Throughout our discussions, we remained true to the core commitments that define our organization—our name, our mission, and our promise to serve all youth in our programs. Those commitments are unchanged. We will continue to deliver stability, mentorship, and opportunity to the children of those who serve our nation.

They’re going young cause they mistakenly think rebuilding in the WNBA is the same as the NBA. I don’t know how WNBA players view Washington, but they should try to add a superstar or two to go with their youth. They could have a deep contending team now.

Is Betts that much better than Flau’jae and the Mystics current center Austin? Mystics biggest area of need is SG/lead guard. I would think if Betts is the pick, Austin gets moved as a restricted FA. (Whenever there is a season)

Their GM has been a disaster since they got bounced in the first round after their championship season. They should start with firing him.
