at one point I designed some accessories for adult swann in bloom & rage - was such a fun task. one of my fav details was the bird skull/moth brooch that I made for her. & just recently one of our allstar environment artists, karole-anne bernier, surprised me with a 3d print of it. so cool 🥹💙💜

the reason for the six bottles -- if you look closely, for our fake brands she created different graphic styles for each era! the beer was (I think?) the only brand where we made art for more than 2 eras. so, when making posters for the bar, we thought it would be cool to show them all together ✨

hahah uh oh..! ok yes I'd like to avoid this fate so, to solve the mystery -- the beer bottle poster was illustrated by concept artist Estelle Leydier. she took care of the majority of the branding inside the blue spruce and did an amazing job with all of this! bottles posters stickers maps etc

this is a big part of why i still paint with a lot of influence from my time in animation as well! way more concise and, for me at least, keeps me focused on the bigger picture. saves me from getting too lost in the weeds (sometimes anyway lol)

hey! depends on the piece but i’ll almost always start exploring with a few v messy/quick thumbnails (either b/w or color) to settle on an idea, then straight to color! rare for me to prep a painting cleanly in greyscale, tho i will do this for other types of concepts that don’t need color info
