Residents in the North depend almost entirely on truck distributions since wells, aquifers, desalinization plants, and ground pipes are completely destroyed.

But we see now that some people are becoming used to the taste of brackish water, which is saltier than fresh water but not as high in salinity as seawater. When residents receive water that is mixed, not fully purified, or from underground aquifers, even if they have gotten used to the taste, their kidneys will inevitably fail from consuming it. when i say revision is self-reflective, i mean that yesterday i started a new revision of my centipede story (untouched in over a year) and this morning a centipede (big, hairy, ick) came crawling out of the shower drain at me

Meet Me at the Crossroads was chosen as a Library Reads pick for June (the image has a small insert of the book's cover) it reads Meet Me at the Crossroads, Megan Giddings, Amistad. Seven mysterious doors suddenly appear in different places across the globe, and when they open, they appear to lead to new dimensions in the universe. Two Black twin sisters get caught in the mystery as one sees paradise while the other sees peril. A spellbinding story about the choices that can both bring us together and tear us apart. I'm not sure the concept of "selling out" itself was that important, but I think we underestimate the damage tech companies have done to culture by successfully controlling all independent channels so that it is now not even possible to avoid selling out.
