Seti had a great life, don’t get me wrong. I put so much time and money into him and he lived well until the end…but I still was so poor when I got him (and frankly had only had dogs mostly before him) and wasn’t able to give him the things I wanted from the start. I’m glad I can now

It has been lovely to get to start with a new cat (well two in a way), for as much as I miss Seti I can take everything I learned over having him for 16 years and have a smoother ride with Pomona Things I’m able to do better this time: 1. Pet insurance 2. Better food 3. SO much enrichment

I’m glad you can agree! I like small talk personally, but I am also prone to enjoying mundane interactions, everything honestly feels like to has meaning to me But that is probably why my mom and I differ so much haha

My mom is really against small talk (this is really weird in the US) in a way that is very intense, going so far as to literally tell people she won’t answer them and it has been baffling me my whole life Today someone just asked “isn’t that just cause your mom’s German?” Which…tbh may be right

I did say to make it more accessible to a non-artist that typing on a computer is still writing (not too different than writing by hand) and digitally making art is the same. It doesn’t happen in one push of a button (I also hammered home that it takes me 20+ hours to make most of my work haha)

I really just tried to emphasize that we DO actually draw digitally. That the difference is the thing they think we do in as much as AI is pushing a button and that drawing digitally is a skill set that melds through mediums and takes years to get good at like any other method or concentration

Got faced with the question of how AI is any different than how I or other artists draw in programs (Procreate, Clip Studio, Photoshop, etc), and I truly had some choice words (a very long and boring explanation). Coming up on two months with Pom! She loves to play fetch, enjoys belly rubs, has endless energy, and lays on my face (her fur is so fine it basically suffocates me) to wake me up multiple times a night (then excitedly bumps her face into my nose, here’s to hoping she doesn’t break my nose haha)

I feel like SO many kids go through something like you and I have. My bully did similar things and would voice violent ideation about things that could happen to his parents My mom did try to get help, but no one cared. It was basically a situation where the teachers and admin turned a blind eye
