Hi friends, is anyone about? It has been a bit of a day with the dogs. We took them to the zoo in the motorhome, a trip we made very successfully last year. This year was not so good.

Have you checked out the fabulous underwater viewing window at the bush dog habitat? The semi-aquatic species have partially webbed feet and water-resistant fur which helps them dive and swim!

Make sure you're getting your 5 a day, like Elliot, our binturong! Throughout the week our binturongs enjoy a colourful diet, packed full of fruit & veg, including peppers, carrots, sweet potato, kiwi, melon, berries, nectarine, cabbage, courgette & apple. They're also given eggs, chickens & quail!

I don't like that we keep having adventures in the motorhome that we did not consent to. Last time it broke down. This time a work van clipped us and smashed their wing mirror and drove off. Don't worry, all dogs and humans are fine. Only a small chip on the corner of the motorhome. Just 🤬

I had the most excellent day yesterday at a small zoo fundraiser, where I pet goats and a ferret and did an armadillo experience (fate, because I was wearing armadillo earrings) but today it turns out that I have broken myself. Whoops. Entirely predictable, but entirely ouch.

Today is painted dog day, but I don't actually have any painted dog socks! It's a disgrace! Instead, I am wearing some dog socks my sister bought me (she broke her no swearing rule for them) and I will show you my painted dog made from a reclaimed snare, which is a wonderful initiative.

Yesterday I went out with my family to a fun day 'festival' at a tiny farm. Some very nice people let me walk one of their alpacas in my chair as a trial.

She is holding the halter rope of a brown, shorn alpaca called Nero, who is trotting alongside her, with a lady in dark green (staff member) close by. They are all in a wide, grassy paddock with trees and animal shelters behind. Nero was a very brave boy who behaved excellently.

I have finished one hand. Now I need a break. I might do a couple more tonight or it might be tomorrow. I'm very grateful for the help.

A couple of photos from yesterday's graduation. It was all very elaborate. It was hot, but not terrible, just enough for my make up to melt off onto my mask. Then we went and had a celebratory lunch, which was lovely. It was a very nice day.

It's probably a good thing that I'm not the one driving us home and not just because I can't drive, but because I was grateful to briefly be in a lorry's blind spot as it meant we were in the shade. I don't think that's the safest way to get home, but I think the dogs would vote for it, too.
