I've been immersed in research on Reconstruction in Lousiana and it's a very difficult truth to absorb that the white terrorist movement in the South was among the most successful terrorist movements in global history. Took 10 years but it won a total & complete victory through murder and atrocity.

1. This has been incredibly obvious and incredibly disheartening to anybody who watches even *close* to as much TV as I do. 2. I sense the regression for directing might be ever worse. 3. That fact that, without a TCA press tour, TV executives have basically NO visible accountability is... bad.

It's telling that men would rather try to invent tech to replace humans' role in caregiving than step up as equal partners in parenting. Telling, that is, in that it shows how financial capitalism and patriarchy work together to dissuade men from doing "unprofitable" labor, like the work of care.

My wife: Can you read our baby a book?
Me: I can just play an audiobook from my phone.
My wife: But then it won't be in your voice.
Me: I can train a voice model.
Parenting hits different when you work in Al.

I searched Amazon 10 times and logged the first 25 results. The best deal was in the top four only 3 times. Here's my own take on a study that found Amazon buries its best deals. In fact, if you buy anything in the first row, you'll almost always overpay. www.not-ship.com/amazon-searc...
Chart showing where the best deal appeared among the first 25 Amazon search results for 10 products. Only three were in the top row: paper towels (1st), water bottle (3rd) and shower curtain liner (4th). The rest were further down: yoga mat (5th), AA batteries and garbage bags (6th), HDMI cable (8th), black leggings (15th), bean bag chair (16th) and USB-C cable (20th).
