Still too middle class for punk, will this be the social platform that fills the screaming void?

By contrast the coverage of Jeffrey Donaldson's trial by @belfasttelegraph.co.uk was exemplary but also did a good job of introducing people to legal concepts from the group level

I think it's more that no one is allowed to take any images in a courtroom - even chalk drawings

The thing I didn't realise until recently was that these drawings are done from memory outside the court

Movie posters that could only be put up in British railway stations, one of a series of probably one.
An ad for a ghost movie with the tagline "See it. Séance. Haunted."; a reference to the British Transport Police's long-running "See it. Say it. Sorted." ads encouraging the public to report anything vaguely suspicious.

Earlier this year, E3G released a big report with the Department of War Studies at Kings College which showed that our dependence on gas is a major national security risk. Cutting heat pumps to fund defence is like not paying for a flu jab so you can buy lemsip. It makes no sense.

Beyond being not that interested in reading her stuff it is also going to make The Rest Is Entertainment insufferable as it becomes a cross-promotional platform, so I'll probably unsubscribe from that as well

Yeah, I read plenty of Hyde's columns because they were moderately entertaining and I was already on The Guardian site where they were served to me - can't imagine seeking them out or paying for them

Wouldn't it be great to live in a world where the governments in Washington and Moscow didn't try to replace each other's choice of government with puppets of their own Monkey's paw curls

Another question for the group. If Polanski had won he'd have become a party leader succeeding a party leader as MP for the same seat - has this ever happened?

Between 2022 and 2024 Sagal Abdi-Wali served as councillor for Camden Square with Danny Beales, who became MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip in 2024. Have there ever been council wards with multiple councillors represented by people who all became MPs

I hate this so much. The BBC should be providing good quality, good value programmes that the private market won't cover. You and Yours (which I kind of hate), Thinking Allowed and Free Thinking are exactly the sort of programming that the BBC is i) good at, ii) not haemorrhaging money to make.
