She sounds like my Missy. She's super independent and elusive and wont let you pick her up but if she decides she wants a snuggle and a fuss shes like a fluff ball of love

I went to Argentine Tango classes for about a year in my 30s. I loved it but in the end I had to accept that I just 'wouldn't be led' as my teacher put it 😂

I did not know that. As a child I just desperately wanted to be Blousy but knew I was going to turn out to be a Tallulah😂...also really wanted one of those pedal cars.

Finding this on my doorstep made all the woes of a long week evaporate. The lovely lady across the road left this for me. We've been fighting the development on the field next to us for 5 years. In one way we lost, its happening but that doesnt mean we should stop fighting the corruption behind it 👊

If I was on the phone to him I wouldn't have been able to speak, let alone announciate my words in such a 1940s film reel manner

I bought a fantastic fluffy jacket for autumn which I was looking forward to wearing when it got chilly...but it will probably rain now until May 2027 so I might as well put it away before ive even worn it otherwise im going to look like a soggy sheep

Mams night off, a very rare occurrence in those days. I was always fascinated by the fact my mam never actually came back with any Tupperware? I think they were just getting pissed on Babysham and Blue Nun and having a good old moan about their lot. Probably very cathartic.

I can confirm these Tupperware parties were real. In my village only women were allowed. My mum used to go them and i vividly remember this because my Dad would say 'right your mothers gone' then make us white bread doorstep sandwiches with butter and tomato sauce as a treat 😂

I do always feel American soul has that wrap you up in a blanket of sound that we all need sometimes. This is definitely a go to when Im feeling down and need some comforting sounds

When margarine became popular I remember my father explaining to us in no uncertain terms why it would never be entering our house. Butter is king. Topped only by his awe inspiring 80s version of a Ted talk on why bottled water was simply a money stream and not a real stream.

The mist is down here and no matter how warm it still is, inside I'm starting to mourn the loss of the summer and layer up for the autumn when everything falls. If you're feeling it too I recommend #PJHarveys I couldn't have picked a better bunch of songs #Autumn open.spotify.com/playlist/4D9...

I read a few around the same age Cain and Abel that era. My parents got a call from my school questioning why I was being allowed to read these kinds of books...on reflection quite right too 😂

I think any poem written post the introduction of the internet should never be performed because thats when the smug mindfulness poetry began, the gif living hell of it.
