we can agree on that my friend who went to Games 3+4 of the 2009 WS says he's never faced such an hostile crowd as a Yankees fan on the road - and he has gone to a LOT of games at Fenway. (though I will never get over Knicks fans taking over the arena when the Knicks swept the Sixers this year.)

yup. 21 HR in 79 games after he got called up (16 between Jul-Aug). still hit ok in Sept/October. but after that he stopped seeing fastballs and the numbers fell off. and in older baseball internet days, there was a great Yankees site for recaps/analysis called No Maas.

also while I'm remembering Fallen Yankees, Chien-Ming Wang deserves a shout out. ace like stuff for two seasons, then he fucked up his foot running the bases in Houston (stupid NL rules) and he was never the same after that injury.
