I only started this and unsure if I’ll do all the other characters. But it’s a comparison pre and post canto for Yi Sang, Faust, and Don Quixote of Limbus fame. In the thread I’ll do closeups for each character

Like seriously yall, being compensated for your work and having the right to sell it to whom you choose is like a cornerstone of being a creative We call it the theft machine for a fucking reason

The Intern

If you really think that copyright gives artists power over their work as is, ask yourself, who owns the rights of Gravity Falls? It's not Alex Hirsch. It's Disney.

Why are we bending over backwards to defend the "rights" of these megacorporate IP fuedal lords?

Alex Hirsch

@_AlexHirsch

lol wat. Disney owns GF because I *chose* to sell it to them, and I was compensated. Ghibli didn't choose to sell their art to OpenAl, and Ghibli wasn't compensated. Why are you bending over backwards to defend the "rights" for a 157 billion dollar company exploiting artists

commission for @mllekurtz.bsky.social, who requested Neve and Lucanis posed in the style of one of the photographs from a Marjorie Morningstar (1958) photoshoot! both the composition and the characters were so fun to work on, thank you for commissioning me 💜 #DragonAge #Veilguard

digital fan art of Neve and Lucanis from Dragon Age: The VeilGuard, done in a painterly style and a warm palette of browns, beige and soft teal.

Neve is a woman in her mid-thirties, with light brown skin and long straight dark brown hair. she is wearing a white silk shirt with a low neckline that shows her cleavage, a pair of fitted turquoise pants, and a short leather vest. her geometric drop earring and the buttons on her clothes are all done in gold, and her eyes are accentuated with dark eye shadow.

Lucanis is a light-skinned man of similar age to Neve, dressed in a shirt, trousers and a waistcoat in shades of brown and dark blue. he has straight shoulder-length black hair that would ordinarily be slicked back, but is now partially falling down as he is leaning over Neve, who has her head pillowed in his lap. they are looking at each other, Neve with a crooked grin, Lucanis with a softer, smaller smile. one of Neve's arms is resting on the ground, the hand relaxed and close to her head, while the other is reaching up, her palm curling around the back of Lucanis's neck, keeping him close.

Alright guys I don't think I can do Anders Week today I am... tired. But!! Doing five days in a row is still impressive I'm a bit mad at myself though, cause I did fill have a pretty clear idea of what I want to do for today's prompts. Hopefully I'll just come back to it some day in the future

020

SalemCantUpdate @salemcantupdate.bsky.social · 08/02/2025

Today’s Anders Week piece may be uploaded later today since I have a cursed sleep schedule and am about to pass out. I do have a very distinct idea, looking through a crack in the door, or maybe through a cracked dirty window, Anders hunched over writing. Veilfire lantern outside the door.
