sakanaa @sakanaa.moe · 10/05/2026i would still love a limit of poor or better because it just takes a few bad avatars to bring down the performance for everyone, and that would easily filter them out without placing too many restrictions on people! 020
sakanaa @sakanaa.moe · 10/05/2026that being said star party has always been an event that ran comparably well for me, im sure its a factor of a lot of the things you mentioned already, so i do agree that its maybe not as pressing as having a limit in an event that takes place in a packed room for example. 120
sakanaa @sakanaa.moe · 10/05/2026i believe it has a chance to make a lasting impact on future avatar bases/outfits/etc. being more optimized from the get-go. and of course i also just like being at events that run better and let me show more avatars without any worries :> 120
sakanaa @sakanaa.moe · 10/05/2026i personally am a big fan of implementing performance gating wherever it makes sense. in the broader spectrum of vrc its a huge chance to get people motivated to spend a little more time thinking about optimization and while it may be a hurdle for a lot of people right now, 120
