Starting my week reading Mafalda. This strip reminds us that workers’ rights and collective action don’t move forward through slogans alone. They move when people organize & bring big ideas into everyday life Here’s to a Monday of solidarity, and turning “someday” into action 👊 #AIforWorker

The comic strip shows a short exchange between Mafalda and a younger child. The child says that their dad often talks about the “social revolution.” Mafalda asks what he says about it, and the child explains that the dad claims the masses are ready and that the proletariat will make the social revolution. Mafalda then asks the key question: “And when?”

In the final panel, the answer is vague and almost dismissive: “Sometimes, when he’s sitting in the living room, he says it.”

The humor comes from the contrast between grand, ideological language and the lack of concrete action. The revolution is framed as something constantly discussed but never actually planned or carried out. Mafalda’s simple question exposes the gap between rhetoric and reality, highlighting how social change is often postponed, abstracted, or reduced to talk rather than collective action.
