Beautiful books from Poesia in Helsinki. This is what book design can look like!!! looking at you, Anglosphere publishing… (The purple volume is not Poesia, it’s from Runokuu, but otherwise these are all from one avant garde poetry and poetics collective with a letterpress and great taste!)

(I imported all my old tweets to Bluesky but apparently it didn't grab the subsequent ones where Mark De Silva tweeted 42 psychotic things about my body and talked about his .38 -- goes to show you, even when you try to read their books, misogynists will always come show you who they are)

Yep I actually read his book, thought through it, reviewed it (it didn't ultimately succeed) and then he threatened my body and subsequently burned my book! AFTER this. And when the cat in this picture died he posted pictures of cats for months to mock me. I genuinely gave him a fair reading too.

‘Illness as metaphor as identity doesn’t appeal to me at all now; it’s too close, too real, too uninteresting in its badness.’ Excellent essay. Many have asked why I don’t write about living with chronic illness. The thought bores me to death. I’m trying to survive, be alive, thrive where I can.
